Set in the heart of the Portes du Soleil, the largest linked ski area in Europe, Morzine is the largest town situated close to the Swiss border . Chalet Muguet is located in a fantastic position just 5 minutes walk from the bustling centre of Morzine, with easy access to shops, markets, restaurants, night-life and sports complexes, making it ideal for summer and winter holidays. Located on the Pleney slopes which can be reached on skis from a blue run, the chalet has stunning views of the area and easy access to all main lifts, including Avoriaz which provides the highest skiing in the Portes du Soleil. The chalet was built to English family spec in 2000 and has been equipped and furnished to a high standard with spacious self-catering kitchen & larger than average accommodation over three floors. One bedroom is encased in glass, for a light & airy effect . You will love to eat in! Two balconies a south facing deck and picture windows capture clear views up and across the valley.

Morzine has the easiest access of all the alpine resorts, located just 30km from Thonon on the shores of lake Geneva, and 25km from the A 40 AutoRoute which skirts the city of Geneva. Drive time to Geneva airport is just over one hour. Morzine is twinned with its sister resort Avoriaz to combine the best of high alpine skiing with traditional Haute Savoie village atmosphere. It is linked with the 13 other resorts in the Portes du Soleil. creating one of the finest ski playgrounds in the world.   • Please note that Chalet Muguet is let from Sunday to Sunday, in order to reduce travel congestion and costs, and also to take advantage of better skiing conditions on Saturdays.

    Our key-holder, Sarah, lives nearby in the village , and will meet you on arrival at the chalet , welcome you in, and show you how everything works As she is a local , she is also an invaluable source of info on the resort and it's facilities.
    Sarah will also arrange to see you off on the day of departure.

    Rental rates are inclusive of fuel, cleaning and linen.
    Towels are not included, so please remember to bring your own.

  • 2 doubles, 1 twin, 1 bunk room with 4 beds We have a number of mountain bikes at the chalet which guests are able to use free of charge, and we do also cater for cycling groups who bring their own specialised bikes. IWe keep a Joe Blow Styrrup pump at the chalet and a selection of bike tools which help with running repairs and there is plenty of covered parking space where they can be locked up securely. Finally we have an outside hose to clean them up after use. We also keep three children's sledges slung under the car port which guests can use for their children without neeeding to buy for the week. We are located on an ideal road-free sledging field which you can view from the kitchen and ground floor and balconies so children can sledge after ski school in complete safety. There is ample off road parking for three cars if necessary, although cars are not needed to use the chalet. The chalet is at the end of a cul-de-sac so there is no nearby traffic to worry about.

Notes: A wood burning stove is located in the lounge seating area, but this is supplemented with under floor heating on the two lower floors of the chalet. This season we have installed a wall-mounted ski boot dryer for up to 5 pairs, for extra comfort on cold mornings. Smoking is only permitted on the two balconies, the terrace and the sun deck, in line with the owner's own policy. The mezzanine area contains a large sofa bed which can be used as a double bed with own balcony and outstanding views. Please remember to bring your own media to use on holiday. We have VHS video, CD player and DVD players, but I'm sure you don't want to depend upon our choice of entertainment. In addition we have Satellite TV box which provided access to UK programmes. A comfortable sun deck has recently been added to the south facing side of the chalet, with teak dining suite and parasol. Even in winter there is a fantastic sunny aspect here.

Ski: This property is ski-in/ski-out, being located just 200 meters from the Pleney lift, and 100 meters below the piste which returns to Morzine (subject to snow conditions). A 5 minute walk provides access to a gondola lift to Super-Morzine and Avoriaz, and buses link to all other areas in the 14-resort Portes du Soleil. There is no need to use a car in the resort, but if you wish to drive to different areas, a 15 minute journey is all it takes to reach Les Gets, Ardent(for Les Linderets), Nyon for Les Gets or the telepherique to Avoriaz. All types of skiing and snowboard abilities are catered for in the area, with dozens of moderate pistes accessible from Pleney, more challenging off and on-piste skiing and boarding in the Avoriaz area, while long distance ski touring through combinations of the French and Swiss resorts is especially rewarding. It is perfectly acceptable to pop over to Switzerland for lunch, and on the pistes, passports are not required.

After a week in Chalet Muguet, we couldn't be more happy!!
The description is very accurate, and were is not in reality is better than described.
The Chalet was impeccable on facilities and very clean. We all stay comfortable, never have cold, the eating system is great, very well maintained.
The communication with the owner was smooth, kind, very accurate and fast. The contact with the key keeper was also great and smooth.
Not only I would recommend to a friend, I've already pass the contacts and I will definitely come back.
The super Morzine lift to access Avoriaz / Switzerland is very close to chalet, and the Morzine lift is even closer, with the plus of skiing back to the chalet door!!
My sadness is that I only stay for a week ... next time I will stay for at least 2 weeks!!

Highly recommended!!!

Good Place to stay in Morzine

The Chalet Muguet is a great place to stay in in Morzine.
It has 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a laundry room, terrace, a big sitting room, heating, floor heating, fireplace, dvd and cd player, a small collection of modern DVD movies and CDs, wireless internet. Only the kitchen is somewhat small, but equipped with almost everything, except a coffee machine. We were a a big group and had a wonderful time in Morzine. The only thing is that the place is 200m from the lifts and to walk to and from every day with all the ski equipment it is a bit tiring. In normal clothes it is close to town center and supermarket.
Owner's Response: Thanks for the comments. I had not previously thought about supplying a coffee machine but I will get one now.

Re carrying skis, if we are skiing the SuperMorzine and Avoriaz areas we leave our skis in M Hubert's ski deposit room and then it is only a few meters to the gondola. I reccommend you try this next time.

Mountain bike holiday Chalet Muguet

I think that the description of this chalet does not do it justice... it’s far better than the description given, it a fantastic chalet. The layout, facilities and location are all first-rate. The rooms were all spotlessly clean and well maintained. Before our group arrived I had very good communication with the owner and they were very helpful giving handy information about the area, town and chalet. Morzine is in my opinion one of the best places to go for a mountain bike holiday and the surrounding Portes du Soleil area is full of trails for all levels of riding. Morzine is right in the middle of it with great access to all the other areas, however you probably won't want to venture to far as the town is lovely. Would I recommend this property to a friend well I’m going again next year so yes I would!
