The Chalet Carving is without doubt the best located chalet in Morzine. An amazing position, just behind the Chairlift TS de la Crusaz on the main home Pleney slopes. Ski in/out with utter ease, yet only 30 seconds from Morzine town centre. You don't need to just take our word for it: Our honoured guest, world record holder and olympic gold medallist Jonathan Edwards said ' a mere hop step and a jump from the pistes...what more could we want!' Spectacular views of the slopes, yet a tranquil spot as not located on the main road. Unbeatable!! So not only do you have all the ease of getting to the slopes in the morning, but you are in the heart of all Morzine has to offer; nightlife, shopping, after dinner strolls, restaurants on night off, sleigh rides around the town etc - Simply perfect. We also benefit from an enormous field, just behind the chalet, next to the slopes, which is great for sledging and enables the children to play and make snowmen, with no cars/traffic around.

Notes to the rental rates

• During the Spring/Autumn months, the chalet is rented on a self-catering basis and the prices are per chalet per week. For this price the linen is included: sheets, pillowcases, duvet covers, one bath towel and one hand towel per person. Tea towels will also be provided. The linen and towels are not changed during the week. Taxes and utility charges included. Departure clean of chalet not included. A damage deposit of either 500 Euros or 350 Sterling is required upon arrival.
  
• During the Winter and peak Summer months the chalet is available on a fully catered basis only. This includes full chalet board, which is full English and continental breakfast, (English breakfast cooked to order), afternoon tea and home-made cakes with sumptuous 4 course evening meal and fine wines. Children's early suppers are available. Rental rates for the Winter period are per person per week.
  
• The Chalet has 5 bedrooms.
  2 x doubles with ensuite bathroom and balcony.
  2 x triples (3 x full sized beds) with ensuite shower-room and balcony
  1 x family four with ensuite shower room (1 x double bed and bunks).

The Chalet Carving is a chalet that benefits from both superior luxury and the most amazing location. However, as it isn't on the roadside - but set back, you enjoy a wonderful tranquil environment. We challenge anyone to come up with such a luxurious chalet in such a superb location. In addition we provide all the facilities you need to have a great holiday All Cots, highchairs, baby equipment and toddler toys. Games rooms with Sony PS2, DVD, table football, family games. Broadband Internet and FREE Wireless network Sky Television, DVD, Stereo, with selection of films/CD's. Plugin point for IPODS. Children under two go FREE!

As the chalet is in such a perfect location, it makes life incredibly easy for families. You are within metres of ski school meeting point for the children and the snow garden. No carrying of skis and boots for miles. When the children have had enough, you can sledge on the dedicated areas just in front of the chalet, using the chalet sledges. Alternatively, take a ride on the little train that passes near the chalet - or take them for a pancake around the corner. With everything being so near and no minibuses to organise to get into town, life is really easy, as holidays should be. As a mum myself, the Chalet is well equipped for children. I have all the baby sterilising equipment, travel cots, baby relaxer, play mat, high chairs, oodles of plastic and books together with the right attitude to ensuring mum has a relaxing time on holiday! Evening baby sitting services can be arranged and full time childcare can be organised with the various creches in resort.

A pure family opetation. Me (Lindsey) met Thierry (French, from Morzine) whilst managing the Northern Alps for Thomson Holidays over 10 years ago. A fusion of our experiences ensued, so Chalet Morzine was born along with Chloe (04/06/03) and Lea (07/07/06). Thierry is a a ski instructor with the ESF, the local French Ski School and has been skiing the Portes du Soleil from the lowly age of 2…So it is fantastic, that he is always on hand, to give expert ski and boarding advice. You can imagine that our ‘know how’ for child and adult ski instruction, what to book, which instructor to book etc and where to go on the mountain, is very reliable. So if you are looking for a real Anglo/French atmosphere, relaxed, 'home from home' surroundings, in a luxuriously furnished savoyarde chalet, then look no further. We have another chalet in our Portfolio; the Chalet 'Chez Pascal,' which is also available to view under reference 9758.

Skiing Information:

The Chalet is ski in/out being located seconds from the main cablecar and chairlift. Its position is absolutely perfect. The ski schools and children’s ski garden are literally a few metres away, making this an absolutely ideal location for families and couples alike. A great little train ride across the road, provides access to the Super Morzine gondola which will take you directly to the heart of the Avoriaz area. A car is not necessary, but a 10 minute drive gives you access to numerous other lifts that take you well into the portes du soleil ski domain. The ski area itself is simply vast, connecting 12 resorts and straddling 2 countries, France and Switzerland, 650kms of piste, 279 runs, 1050 snow cannons and 208 lifts make for the largest international ski area in the world. Beginners, Intermediates and Advanced will all find an abundance of terrain to suit their own style, level and technique.

Golf Information:

There is a large variety of golf courses in Haute-Savoie, offering an equally wide range of facilities. However, they all have one thing in common: magnificent scenery dominated by the Mont-Blanc mountain range, panoramic views of the major Alpine lakes, green valleys and mountain streams. Haute-Savoie has 12 golf courses within a radius of 100 kms, the first one only 5minutes away.
