Sainte Foy enjoys excellent skiing conditions throughout the winter, and due to the attractions of the surrounding mega-resorts, the pistes of Sainte Foy remain in immaculate condition throughout the day. The skiing itself is best aimed at intermediate skiers, but there are both scenic, sweeping descents towards the bottom of the resort, and fearsome downhill pistes to get the adrenaline pumping too. Sainte Foy is blessed with some of the best skiing available, and Mount Pourri offers 800 hectares of virgin snow to explore.

If skiing is not your cup of tea, there are plenty of other options whilst your family enjoy the empty slopes. You can either learn the art on the nursery slopes, or if you really do not want to ski, you can tackle on of the delightful snow shoe trails, take charge of a husky sledge or even take an aerial view of the Alps from the harness of a paraglider!

Probably the most famous ski resort in France, Val d’Isere is set high in the Alps, offering some of the most exclusive après-ski in the area. The restaurants and pubs of Sainte Foy are excellent, but not directed towards huge nights out.

Tignes is also one of the larger and more commercial of the skiing resorts of the Northern Alps. It is a magnificent place to ski if you have a family or group of people with a range of skiing abilities. Tignes offers quiet nursery slopes and formidable black runs side by side.
