Photos and Description of this Royan area holiday apartment The gîtes are situated in a quiet rural position, but only 2 km from Le Gua.

Two lovely gîtes, each separately adjoining Chez Raud, the owners’ beautiful Charentaise house and surrounded by our farmland(20acres) with horses, donkeys and other domestic animals. The gîtes are situated in a quiet rural position, only 2 km from Le Gua, where you will find all your holiday requirements – 2 boulangeries, 2 butchers, excellent fishmonger, grocer, newsagent, hotel/restaurant, café, post office and small supermarket. A larger supermarket is a few minutes drive away. Les Oies Sauvages: 2 bedrooms, sleeps 5. Les Cigognes: 2 bedrooms, sleeps 4. The fully enclosed pool and the large, flower filled garden is for the use of the occupants of both our gîtes. A welcome basket of necessary basics will be awaiting you on your arrival and an introduction/visits to our animals can be arranged. Free Horse Riding. 20 Mins from Royan and its beautiful Beaches. Long lets also available. Pets welcome on approval.

Les Oies Sauvages: Sleeps up to 5 persons. It has its own separate entrance/parking space and terrace with views over open fields. There is a well equipped kitchen which has electric hob, oven with grill, microwave, fridge/freezer and washing machine. The separate dining/sitting room contains a sofa-bed. There are 2 bedrooms – one on the ground floor with a double bed and a single bed, upstairs there is a large beamed bedroom which has another double bed. Two shower rooms each with a toilet are on the ground floor. All linen is supplied except pool towels. The gîte has French/English satellite TV and a DVD/CD player. Broadband internet access is available in the owners’ accommodation.

Royan only 16km, La Rochelle (65 km): Our nearest ‘airport’ town. In the town, the unusual arcaded streets make for great leisurely shopping, with everything from antiques to high fashion on offer. A few kilometres further north is the very fashionable Ile de Ré. Royan (16 km): Is a lively, modern, resort, with its sandy beaches, large marina, daily market, shops and restaurants. The beaches of Royan, Châtelaillon-Plage and Saint Georges de Didonne are clean, expansive and pretty and are ideal for family relaxation. Rochefort (30 km): Has a rope manufacturing museum and former military arsenal, the Corderie Royale, and also an ambitious reconstruction of the 18th-century frigate, Hermione. Saintes (26 km): This beautiful Roman town with its Arch Germanicus, amphitheatre, cathedral and abbey is a ‘must’ for many tourists. Along the coast there are many pretty villages to explore. Talmont, with its cliffside 13th-century church and the ports of Mortagne and Mornac.
