Magnificent property near Saintes and the sea with pool.

Beautiful Maison de Maître (former Napoleonic Captain's residence, per prior owner) in Charente-Maritime. The department with the highest number of sunshine hours in Western France and only surpassed by the Southeast. The property comprises two 2 bedroom gîtes, 11 X 5m enclosed pool, owners accommodation, walled and fenced gardens and adjacent meadow (2.4 acres in total). The property is very spacious at just under 50m long and each gite is almost at opposite ends. So you need only get to know other guests if you want to.

2 bedroom apartment all on the ground floor. Comprising bathroom, 2 spacious bedrooms, living room and kitchen. There is an open barn attatched with a table tennis table for sole use of this gite. The apartment is carpeted throughout except the bathroom and kitchen. For families with babies we have cots, highchairs, changing mat, toys, steriliser and a hand blender.

The property is located in the tranquil hamlet of Lossandière, a few hundred yards to the north of the pretty village of Saint Léger. There is a good restaurant within walking distance and we are surrounded by gently undulating open countryside. There is a beautiful forest within a few hundred yards and the walking/cycling is superb with lots of open tracks. Golden beaches lie 24 miles to the west. The ancient towns of Cognac, Pons and Saintes are easily accessible from the house. If you are looking to buy a French property James will be able to help advise.
