Located in the quite residential part of Courchevel 1550. This high quality first floor apartment is in a chalet of 4 other similar apartments. There is a secure underground garage. The winter season is from mid December to late April . And it is possible to ski to within 50 meters of the chalet. The new 6 seater chair lift is just a short walk of about 200 meters downhill which links directly into Courchevel 1850 or the ski bus will stop outside the chalet if you prefer. The chalet is situated in a perfect position for skiing over to Meribel and the rest of the 3 valley area. 3 chair lifts puts you directly above the Meribel area, and 1 lift from Meribel puts you directly above the chalet for your return ski without having to join any busy lifts to the very top of 1850.

Nearest Airport: Geneva, Lyon, Chambery.appr 90-120 minutes at 50 Miles
Nearest Ferry: Calais at 580 Miles
Nearest Train: Moutiers at 12 Miles
Nearest Motorway: Moutiers at 12 Miles
Car: not necessary
The ski area of 1550 has now been fully opened with 1850 having two brand new runs which run from the top of the Saulire and the other top lift stations of 1850 down into 1550. Just a short downhill walk of 200 metres takes you to the new 6 man chair lift which links directly into the centre of 1850 or take the bubble directly into La Croisettet of 1850. At the end of you ski day stop off at 1850 and then ski back to within 50 metres of the Chalet. The chalet is perfectly placed for a Quick arrival into Meribel, La Tania or the entire 3 valley area. If you are running late from say Val Thorens, there is no need to descend from the top of the Saulire, return via the shorter route of Meribel. The skiing is just unlimited and simply fantastic.

  • The daily rates can be added to a full week in order to extend a holiday. The minimum rental period is charged as indicated 4 days.
  • Courchevel 1550 is ideal for summer mountain holidays. The main chair lifts and cable cars work throughout the summer months of July and August. In the resort in summer is a indoor/outdoor swimming pool, many tennis courts,
    rock climbing wall, paintball, areal runways, archery. Mountain biking and walking is made easier by taking yourself and bike on the cable car and cycling down. A weekly lift pass is about Euro 35 and use as many times as you want. Ice skating is in Courchevel 1850, together with high altitude golf at 2100 meters, or try a plane flight from the altiport, paraglide (with instructor). Try the valley floor (5 miles) for white water rafting and quad biking.

Notes: First floor apartment. Living/dining room with corner kitchen and patio windows to a large balcony (16 square metres). Double bedroom with en suite bathroom, bath with shower, and twin bedroom with shower and wash hand basin. Separate WC. There is automatic Thermos tic under floor heating, and controlled convector heaters in all rooms. The telephone is for incoming and local calls only, which enables free phone calls to agent, doctor, restaurant's etc. There are adequate games and some DVD. The TV has a Sky box for BBC 1,2 ITV 1. (If you wish you can take your own viewing card) We have installed WiFi and this is free of charge (wireless) If you need a cable please take your own (normal BT male connection required) The ski bus will stops virtually outside the chalet for links directly with 1850, 1650 and La Praz village (1300). The buses run normally till about 2330 hours (check on bus timetable) to the centre of 1550.

Myself and familey have been skiing for about 30 years and for about 4 weeks a year. Apartment in Chalet La Grand Cerf is ideally situated for all aspects of a good ski holiday. A new children ski kindergarden and school has been relocated to within about 200mt (Downhill walk) of the apartment. Although we have a locked garage in the chalet, a new underground car park for extra cars is under the children ski school within a 200 mt walk.

Fly directly to Geneva airport. A bus service from the airport to Courchevel 1550 and 1850 is frequent. Hire a Taxi if there is 4 people it can be cheaper than bus. Hire a car from Geneva or other airports. Drive from Calais about 650 Miles 10-12 hours. The roads are generally clear. For further information telephone me.

Nice Chalet near to the slopes

Nicely appointed apartment within this chalet block with underground parking and ski locker. 5 mins walk in the morning to the ski lifts but you can ski to within 50m of the front door on the way back. 2nd bedroom only just big enough for 2 single beds but thats all you need! 2 bathrooms but only one (separate) toilet. Sky TV (bring your own card) was an added bonus. Telephone also provided.

The ski area is great with runs to suit all tastes, especially if you ski over all the 3 valleys. Be warned that restaurant prices on the slopes of the Courchevel valley are eye-watering, more reasonable in the other 2 valleys.

The owners are british based and offered all help required to make this a great skiing holiday.
