One hour by motorway from Geneva airport is the lovely village of Les Houches. This is a friendly resort with many local amenities including 2 supermarkets, bars and restaurants. Further shops, bars and restaurants are 10 minutes away in the wonderful alpine town of Chamonix. Both Chamonix and Les Houches have market days. The area is noted for its spectacular mountain views with fantastic skiing in the winter and walking and hiking in the summer.
