This one bedroom apartment is situated on the 3rd floor (no lift) of a 17th century building in the famous Rue St Andre des Arts, on the Left Bank. It is just 2 minutes from St Michel metro (just 15 minutes direct from Gare du Nord if you are travelling by Eurostar) and RER station (connections to Charles de Gaulle and Orly airports). Set back from the street the flat is quiet and peaceful at all times. It consists of entrance hall, lounge, bedroom, kitchen, shower room and toilet. It is fully furnished and has parquet flooring throughout. Cable TV, video and internet connection available in the lounge, along with a sofa bed. The separate bedroom (this is not a studio!) has a large comfortable bed. The kitchen is independent and is equipped with microwave, hot plates, fridge and all necessary cooking utensils. There is a phone for receiving calls and making free local calls (phone card can be used for national and international calls).

This part of the Left Bank is one of the most famous in Paris. Bookstores, cafes, art galleries, small theatres, classic-film cinemas and jazz clubs fill this area between the Seine and the elegant Boulevard St Germain. Literary cafes such as Cafe Flore and Les Deux Magots, frequented by intellectuals in the post war years, are still popular today. The now famous Shakespeare Bookshop, opposite Notre Dame Cathedral (and open till midnight) is staffed by visiting students who sleep above the shop! There is a bustling night life in clubs and pubs (the inevitable Irish pub!) and the small shops and restaurants stay open to the early hours. It is a shoppers' paradise. Within walking distance are many museums and galleries such as the Louvre and the Musee d'Orsay. St Chapelle and Theatre du Chatelet nearby host many concerts.

me and my wife stayed at Gerry's apartament.
His was very helpful giving information about the apartment and neighborhood.
The location was great, near grocery store, supermarket, subway station was a minute walk, and the apartment was big considering old Paris buildings. There are some narrow stairs to climb to get there but nothing terrible.
price was great considering all you got.

We had a fantastic time staying in this property. It is in a great location and the apartment is very cosy with lots of lighting and bright cheerful furnishings. There were plenty of restaurants nearby and it was central to all the attractions, we walked everywhere. The only problem was that the cleaners hadn't been in when we got there but we phoned the owner and he sorted it out straight away. Like all apartments that are used often some of the furnishings were a bit shabby but you can overlook that because of the location. I would only recommend fit people to take the apartment because of the 3 flights of stairs but we are in our late 50's and managed fine.

Small but perfectly suitable apartment. Could not be better positioned - a short walk from St Michel Metro and right in the heart of the Left Bank. Clean, tidy and functional kitchen and bathroom. You'll get used to the three flights of stairs after a day or two! Would definitely stay again.
