Absolutely Ideal...!!!

When we were booking we had decided that we wanted to spend our short four day break in the Marais / Bastille area after being previously in Saint Germain des Pres and Montmartre. We did invest considerable time looking at a host of sites. As my partner and I were bringing my Mum to Paris for the first time we wanted somewhere that was quaint with a little bit of character. After whittling down the shortlist to about 4 appartments we took the plunge and opted for this due to the homely feel of the lounge picture and also to the friendly correspondence from Janet, the owner. On arrival, it really exceeded our expectations. Not only did it appear that all you would ever need was steps away from the front door: the Oberkampf metro only steps away;a brasserie was directly opposite for that early morning coffee (or late night tipple); a supermarket just round the corner and a variety of restaurants in surrounding streets. The appartment itself is easily accessible being on the first floor. On entering I was firstly amazed by the space and secondly, by the charm the interior exuded down to the pictures that adorned the wall and the library of books which fills it's many shelves. The lounge was bright, spacious and airey. The bedrooms were an excellent size and gave a relaxing feel. As there were two toilets /bathrooms this proved to be an absolute godsend, allowing my Mum to have a certain degree of privacy and indeed ourselves as well. The kitchen was also very spacious and was well stocked with whatever you might need, with again ample space to relax and enjoy your food in comfort. This was reflected in the fact that we never left the appartment any day before noon, talking time to have a slow and enjoyable breakfast to set us up for the day ahead. On our return each evening we had a nightcap and spent time in the lounge reflecting on our day or planning ahead for tomorrow. On what was our most enjoyable stay to date to, the appartment really did provide an ideal base. Fortunately we were blessed with summertime weather in March, but had this been the other extreme we could gladly have spent more time indoors. In conclusion, would not hesitate to come back here again and I would take pleasure in recommending it to anyone in the knowledge it would be a perfact base for anyone coming to explore the delights Paris has to offer.
Once again... Merci Janet...
