This historic 2 storey duplex apartment with wonderful roof top views of the old houses of the Marais, is set on the 5th floor, with lift, of an original “Hotel Particulier” (mansion house) built in1622. Facing both the beautiful interior courtyard and the street, this bright, quiet and spacious 90 sq metre (970 sq ft) home sleeps up to 6 people over two floors with a queen size bed in the master bedroom and 2 single beds in the second bedroom. The architect who designed the interior space created a mix of old venerable home with great vistas, you can see the magnificent stone and slate roofs as well as the street scenes of the Rue Vieille du Temple. The huge living and dining room have stone tiled floors and arched ceilings with bold architectural steps leading to the upstairs bedrooms. Keeping the original wooden beams, white stucco walls and stone fireplace he created a truly romantic hideaway.

Rue Vieille du Temple has many food grocers, shops, cafes, restaurants, art galleries, museums, boutiques, along with ancient architecture, cobbled streets and a vibrant day and night life. Close to 2 metro stations: Hotel de Ville on lines 1 and 11 and St Paul also line 1, you are within a few minutes walk to Ile de la Cite with Notre Dame and Ile St Louis where you can cross the river over the Pont Marie and meander through the Latin Quarter and St Germain des Pres (a 10 minute walk). Or take the metro and reach the Louvre in 2 minutes and the Champs Elysees in 6 minutes on the fastest metro line in Paris. Going North visit the Museum of Modern Art at the Pompidou Centre or just wander along the famous streets of the Marais, the delis on Rue des Rosiers (the famous “Jewish Quartier”), the Musee Carnavalet (City Museum Of Paris) on the rue de Sevigne, the Picasso Museum and the Place des Vosges with it’s magnificent central square and 17th century architecture.
