The apartment is in the heart of the 2nd Arrondissement (the 1st Bing THE center of Paris!), only two blocks from one of the best known and most historic market streets in Paris (Montorgeuil, see photos above - described in Sarah Turnbull's book, 'Almost French.'). Within 10-15 minutes walking to the Louvre, the Seine, Palais Royale, Opera Garnier, Galleries Lafayette, Rue Rivoli, and the Pompidou Center. It is about 8 minutes from Gare de Nord (Eurostar). A lovely Middle Class neighbourhood with beautiful 19th century buildings.

The Neighborhood

The Sentier area is extremely central and offers great walking access to market places (more info below), restaurants, bars, shops, the Marais, Galleries Lafayettes, Les Halles, Pompidou, the River, etc. It is also a 10 minute cab drive from Gare du Nord (Eurostar station). When all of that has tired you out, the apartment is comfortably set up with an engulfing couch, flat screen TV, extensive Video library, new stereo with USB port for MP3/ipod, a good selection of books, and a very well equipped kitchen. Perfect for cozy at-home relaxation.

Montorgeuil Market

The flat is literally two blocks from one of the most lively, historic and complete pedestrian markets in Paris. With gorgeous cobble stone pavements, the cries of food vendors, cafes, cheese shops, wine shops, and superb restaurants everywhere the eye can see, you will surely feel that you are in the heart of a truly French experience! After a tiring day of sight seeing all over Paris it is quite a luxury to be able to walk only a few blocks in every direction for a delicious meal.
