Great place to stay in wonderful neighborhood

We stayed one full week in this charming apartment in Paris' 17th arrondissement. True to the description, the property was clean, well-maintained, wonderfully quiet (facing only inside courtyards), and equipped with so many items of basic food, utensils, bathroom articles, etc. that we felt immediately at home and needed to buy very little in those areas. Upon arrival we were immediately met by the very genial owner, who showed us everything (entry procedures, use of telephone, adjusting heating, etc.) and told us how to instantly contact him should there be any problem. Needless to say, we did not need to reach him at all, as everything went perfectly. He went out of his way to walk us directly to a nearby Internet cafe and on the day of our departure was there to say farewell and help us meet friends who were picking us up for a ride to the airport. In this cozy apartment we felt immediately at home in this wonderful Parisian residential neighborhood. Very convenient to a subway junction (Metro Villiers), the 17th
arrondissement offers visitors a look into how residents of Paris lead their daily lives. The open markets and shops on Rue Levis and adjoining streets are astounding with their variety of fruits, vegetables, cheeses, pastries, etc.
There are excellent small restaurants, friendly and cozy, featuring almost all cuisines including Lebanese, Indian, Japanese, Vietnamese, etc. If you want to eat "chez vous" in the apartment but not cook, you have marvelous take-outs ranging from Vietnamese to Italian, and the many bakeries always have a wide range of sandwiches to go.
With the Metro, especially using the change point at Opera, one can be almost anywhere one wants to be in Paris within 15 or 20 minutes. Based on all the above and more, we would highly recommend this vacation property for those wanting to feel that they actually "lived" in Paris for a short period of time. Compared to even some smaller hotels nearby, this property is priced most reasonably.
Please consider it for a great Paris experience.
