If you enjoy the beach, surf, golf, spa and good food....this could be the place! This apartment is situated in a vibrant area and is located on the beach and very close to restaurants, shops, bakery and pharmacy. There is plenty to do for children with the miniature golf, beach clubs, carousel, surf schools and beach volley ball. This apartment is frequently used by the owners and therefore is equipped and maintained to a higher standard than normal holiday accommodation. Biarritz / Anglet is easily accessible by plane (direct flight from London and Dublin with Ryanair and from Paris, Lyon / flights to Bordeaux or Pau plus car drive), by train (high speed train from Paris), or by car (motorway all the way). From July 2008 - Direct flights from London Gatwick to Biarritz.

Notes to the rental rates

• You may pay in pounds or euros - either by cheque or transfer to our bank a/c. 20% deposit required on booking and final payment due 1 month before arrival.
  An extra to pay of £10 per person per week for bed linen and towels.
  Travel cot, highchair, bouncing cradle and car seat are available on demand.
  
• Weekend rentals available on request. Minimum location period of 2 weeks between July and August.
  Rental period will usually take place from Saturday to Saturday. However we are flexible and we offer the possibility to rent the flat mid-week but will have to make an additional charge.(approx £100/week in peak season).

What to do around?

The flat is situated just a few minutes away from the fashionable and glamorous Biarritz town centre and 20 minutes from some of the charming Basque villages (Guethary, Bidart, Arcangues, St Jean Pied de Port and many more). Other more neighborly towns include Bayonne with a magnificent ancient cathedral overlooking the winding medieval streets and historic St Jean de Luz typical and charming seaside resorts with its glorious sandy beach and picturesque fishing port. The Pyrenees with it beautiful mountain scenery and wildlife is just a short drive away. The most local peak, La Rhune, can be scaled with the help of an old mountain railway, offering views at the summit to take your breath away. The city of Pau is an important centre for skiing and is about an hours drive away.

Weather

Under the ocean influence but also thanks to the warm local currents, winters are mild and the summer heat perfectly bearable. The sea winds with their summer freshness and winter mildness easily dominate the continental winds. The coastal fringe benefits from good overall sunshine, and the highest temperature readings in France are often recorded in the Anglet /Biarritz region.
