We all had a fantastic time, including the dog!! Weather was really good, the girls swam everyday. We had a huge storm on the Thurs evening which knocked the power out 5 times! I'm afraid the sun parasol took a hit.
Everything went to plan. Mme. Bonnnefoye was there when we arrived and we settled-in really quickly. There was plenty space for the dog, although he did disappear once or twice to see the dogs next door.
We watered the plants and enjoyed the fantastic views from the decking. We had BBQ's and the kids swam until 11.00pm. We 'hung-out' with the docu-makers in Lussas and had a great day out in Val-les-Bains. I practiced my culinary skills in your great kitchen. The kids still managed to catch MTV via your digital set.

we are all safely home now after a week of stunning sunshine and relaxation chez rierson.
richard's mum says i must tell you that there were cows in the field next door when she had her breakfast yesterday morning. we all thought it was pretty cool...I know its a farming village but anyway, we were dead chuffed about it... maybe it was the inspiration of the picture in the loo.
we all loved the house, of course, especially the kitchen, which was big enough and certainly well-equipped enough to keep the THREE keen cooks of the party happy. salad and water for the next few weeks for me... we sat for hours under the pergola just reading and sleeping and eating and taking in the view. Rich, Dad & Sis braved the pool, Mum shrieked just putting a toe in and i rarely even ventured onto the pebbles..
Exceeding expectations...:
Just returned from France and wanted to let you know what a beautiful home you have and how much I appreciate being a guest. My experience far exceeded any expectations. The Views are what songs and poetry are made of. It was quiet and restful after a long week of sight seeing in Paris. I hung a flower basket on the garage that I picked up at the market and planted some flowers in the small flower pot over the door. I picked up some candles for the house as well. We tried your wine recommendation and you were right. It was wonderful!
We loved Aubenas and found the most wonderful antique shop there. Tried the goat cheese at the market as well. The stars at night were like I've never seen in my life and I consider myself a star gazer. Our last night there we got some beautiful pictures of a rainbow over the house. Needless to say, it was Heaven! Thanks Again for the most amazing vacation...
