Rental ideally located : near Saintes, Cognac, Royan. An alley leads to the property, giving at once a sense of privacy and of the picturesque: the Charente River is right there, the cottage is surrounded by fields, and the views are amazing. Detached 100 sq m house, functional, comfortable, many original features with the added benefit of all modern facilities. Ideally located in historical Saintonge Romane: close to village, towns, long beaches of the Atlantic Coast. 3 golf courses nearby. Plenty of things to do in the countryside or seaside. The house was very comfortable, clean and well equipped. The owners were friendly and the location was wonderful, one minute's walk from a lovely river. You could walk along the river to the nearest village and also to an island. The garden area was lovely for sitting out in. We had a fantastic holiday with lots of things to see and do in the area. Didn't want to go home. The owner presented us with a bottle of wine on departure.
