Pool :
The pool is 12mx6m with Roman steps leading to the shallow end, this is level for 3 metres and is 0.9 metres deep. This makes it ideal for children of all ages, safe and ideal for learning to swim. The deep end is 1.5metres. Due to revised safety standards we have an electric pool cover, which is kept closed when there is no one in the pool and when children are playing. The pool is kept immaculately clean by the owner . It is a lovely experience swimming in the crystal water The pool is overlooked by each patio so the children are always in view.
Gardens:
The well established gardens have some soft fruit bushes. In the patio area the rose bushes are the pride and joy of not only Les Rimaudieres but the neighbours Madame Picoulet and Claudette. There are rosemary bushes, basil, mint and bay leaves growing which can be picked along with any vegetables growing and fruit from the fruit trees. There are apricot, cherry and walnut and later in the season you can have ripe figs. For the children there is table tennis, boules, swing, slide, and a large field with Badmington net, Football nets and a cricket set.
Local Amenities:
Nearby Royan and St Georges de Didonne are 20 mins by car and offer a variety of sports:sailing, wind surfing, cycling. Tennis can be played locally. Birdwatching is good on the estuary. For the golf enthusiast there is an excellent course in Royan. For the children there are a variety of safe sandy beaches. There is a water park at Arcachon, activity centre at La Palmyre, and for those who love surfing a superb beach at La Palmyre. There are lots of good restaurants to choose from many specialising in seafood. Eating out is one of the great pleasures of this area. Local markets where you can buy the local fresh products are a must to visit. Visit the market in the morning and put on the barbeque in the evening. At Mortagne sur Gironde port you can eat overlooking the marina, watching the world go by sipping your favourite drink. Whatever your holiday preference this beautiful area of France has something for everyone.
