Charming gite, authentic, romantic... located in a very quiet place

Located in a hamlet nestled in the middle of the vineyards at 3 km away from the town with shops, Emma's Cottage is a very comfortable and authentic gite. The stones, the beams, the fireplace are all original. The French windows open on to a park with a few steps leading to the swimming pool. At The Tournerie everything is very quiet; the birds are very happy there. Ideal location: at 1 hour from La Rochelle and Bordeaux, Cognac and the very beautiful beaches are 30 km away. The producer of Pineau and Cognac is within 2 km. You can take a bycicle to go in the middle of the vineyards and sunflower fields. ... In this very old restored house the stones on the walls are so thick that they keep the freshness and this is very pleasant during the summer.

Very beautiful country of the Charente region in the heart of vineyards located within an hour of La Rochelle and Bordeaux. The sea edge is close by (19 miles), with a beach at Merchers, Saint Georges de Didonne or Royan. For the small ones and the adult ones, magnificent zoo to visit at La Palmyre (1 hour away). Visit of the cellars at Cognac and the drop producers of good wine of Bordeaux. For the lovers of the old stones, numerous monuments are to visit in the region. The owners will recommend very good restaurants.

Notes to the rental rates

  • Payments are in Euros. A down payment of 25% is required upon reservation. The remaining balance is due 8 weeks before your arrival (by transfer in France). A security deposit of 150 Euros is to be paid upon arrival, to the owner (completely reimbursable if no damage is noticed at the time of departure). Water, electricity and final cleaning are included in the rental rate.
    Addtional cleaning can be made but will be payed by the client.
    Arrivals are usually from 4.00 pm and departures before 10.00 am.
