An absolutely charming old farm house set in the idyllic surroundings of a typical Charentaise hamlet, containing everything a family would need in this tranquil French countryside setting. Inside are 3 large bedrooms, an expansive lounge, modern kitchen, and a full bathroom, all central heated. Outside there is a large courtyard, undercover parking, garden and vine covered BBQ area. Through the barn leads you to a secluded walled garden containing fruit trees and a large private swimming pool. The Poitou-Charentes region is a beautiful rural retreat with rolling fields of glorious yellow sunflowers dotted with villages and towns brimming with historical character. Fouqueure is a small hamlet, set on the edge of the famous Cognac vineyards, and for the wine lovers the Bordeaux area is a short drive beyond that. To satisfy all tastes, the Atlantic coast is about an hour and a half's drive away where you and the kids can spend a fun-filled day at La Rochelle, Ile de Ré or Ile d’Oléron.

Situated in the sleepy hamlet of Fouqueure, there are a number of restaurants within about a ten minute drive, offering the best in fine French cuisine. The stone cottage, built in typical Charantaise style, is fully self-contained with a large garden, private swimming pool and outdoor barbeque area; ideal for those who want to spend lazy days relaxing with a good book or enjoying family and friends' company over a nice bottle of wine, in between exploring the countryside.
