‘Les Frenes', a charming barn conversion, fully furnished to suit holidays at all times of the year.The ground floor, open plan with seating and equipment for 8: large salon incl double futon, TV, video, DVD, radio and CD, wood-burning stove, kitchen and dining areas. Gas oven and hob, fridge, dishwasher and microwave. Utility room with sink, washing machine and fridge/freezer. Shower room and WC. The downstairs area of natural flagstone with features such as wooden beams and stone walls. Upper floor: 2 bedrooms, sleeping 6 in comfort. One with double bed + 2 single beds. One with 2 single beds. All with pillows and duvets. We provide bed linen and bath towels. A cot and high-chair are available. Bathroom with bath, washbasin and WC. There is an 8m x 4m swimming pool (+ inflatables), a patio area, barbeque and outdoor seating. Large garden for relaxing or playing badminton, croquet etc. There is a meadow with small lake. (Free-range eggs and organic veg available in season.) Pets OK!

Nearest Train: Poitiers at 80 Kilometres
Nearest Motorway: Niort at 20 Kilometres
Nearest Beach: beach at 100.0 Kilometres

'Les Frenes' is in the tiny hamlet of La Nauliere, beside the forest of Secondigny and in the rolling countryside of the Gatines. Secondigny, 5k, has a well stocked supermarket, local shops, bars and restaurants, tennis courts, fishing, large swimming pool, picnic areas. Excellent swimming lakes, suitable for all ages, are 15-20 minutes away, as is the golf course at Mazieres en Gatine. The medieval town of Parthenay is 16k NE, Niort is 25k S. Poitiers and Futuroscope are a 60 min drive. La Rochelle and the Atlantic coast are 70 min W. The ‘Puy du Fou’ is a dramatic spectacle of excitement and lights. The Marais Poitevin ('Green Venice'), is close by.

Tennis & horse-riding at Le Retail. Local markets - Coulonges sur l'Autize, Niort, Parthenay etc. Nearest restaurants: Secondigny, then Parthenay.
