Photos and Description of this Maine-et-Loire holiday cottage 1 double and 1 twin bedroom, 1 bathroom, sleeps 4/6

The newly renovated cottage has an open plan dining and living area there is a TV monitor, DVD/ video player and radio/tape/CD, with a small selection of DVD’s, Video’s and CD’s. There is also a selection of books, games and jigsaws. This area leads out onto a lovely secluded decking, equipped with table, chairs, sun bed and brick built barbeque, which overlooks the pond. (fishing available upon request) Both north and south we have the chateau towns of Gontier and Briante, which are both worth exploring. Le Mans with its car museum and race circuit is about 80 miles away. The local area is also good for fishing with its many rivers and lakes (permit required) walking, cycling on the empty roads and forest tracks is a pleasure.

Nearest Airport: Nantes/Tours at 110 Kilometres

This is an ideal place to unwind and enjoy what the French countryside has to offer .Our local village is Gruge L’ Hopital, which has just one shop/bar. There are many market towns within easy reach, the nearest being Renaze 3.5km away that has a good selection of shops, banks, supermarkets and bars also doctor and dentist surgery. Segre is about 14km where you will find a larger selection of shops, restaurants, bars etc and they also have a new indoor swimming pool great for the children. The medieval city of Angers is about 40 mins, with its chateau and museums and every Saturday has a very large market set in a big part of the town centre, along with its superb pavement café culture, where you can eat, drink and do some people watching.

Kitchen/ Dining Area: The kitchen is fully equipped with fridge, gas cooker, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and all utensils. The dining area can accommodate 6 people and a high chair can be provided if required. The living room area is furnished with matching armchairs and bed settee.

Upstairs/Bathroom: There are two bedrooms: – Bedroom One: is a double (with space for extra single bed if required) Clothes hanging area, two bedside cabinets and 3 draw cabinet, view overlooking pond, garden and valley. Bedroom Two: is a twin room with built in cabinet with 3 draws. The bathroom has a jet power shower, WC and twin wash basin illuminated vanity unit and shaver socket.

Attractions: Relax in the beautiful French Countryside in this newly renovated cottage. We are situated on the Mayenne and Maine et Loire border. This 150-year-old barn has been tastefully renovated recently to give a feeling of keeping the original features, but fitted out to a high standard. The Mayenne River is not far away where you can hire boats and take day trips. The Loire Valley itself is not far with its fairy tale chateau’s and don’t forget those wine tasting expeditions
