Hossegor:
It's a town that has a lot to offer: boutique shopping, great bars and restaurants, world-famous surfing beaches, two lovely golf courses ranked in the Top 25 in France and a beautiful lagoon for safe bathing. It’s little wonder, therefore, that the town is busy. The remarkable thing is that it's something of a French (and Spanish) secret; unless you're a dedicated surfer, the chances are you won't have heard of Hossegor.

There's plenty of potential for excursions:
- Visit Biarritz and St Jean de Luz - both are great resorts with excellent cuisine.
- Explore the Basque Country and its delightful 'postcard' villages.
- Visit Bordeaux for excellent shopping and its surrounding chateaux and vineyards.
- Hiking in the Pyrenees.
- Head to Spain and visit San Sebastian, Pamplona and Bilbao's Guggenheim.
Golf:
This is a fantastic region for golf with several highly-rated courses. Hossegor Golf Course is 1km; Seignosse 3km; Moliets 20km plus several more around Biarritz.
