Photos and Description of this Duras holiday chateau / country house 5 large bedrooms to sleep 11 in comfort; huge well equipped kitchen

Chateau des Egrons is set in the vineyards and rolling hills bordering the Dordogne, Girronde and Lot-et-Garonne. With large heated pool and private tennis court the Chateau has private grounds with views in all directions. All rooms are large with high ceilings and tiled floor with elegant french furniture. The huge kitchen has a large table that will seat 14 people and there are 5 reception rooms. There is seating and dining facilities in the front courtyard as well as the large rear terrace. Championship golf and pleasures of the Dordogne river are less than 15 minutes away.

' We had no idea that the Chateau was so much more beautiful than the pictures in the brochure. The space and setting is indeed quite magical and the interior is so splendid. We now dream of returning to that wonderful Kitchen! We all had a wonderful time; the best family holiday so far and we look forward to returning.'

A Fantastic Jewel of Place

We were blessed with lovely weather but Chateau des Egrons is a wonderful, comfortable and entertaining jewel of a place. Tennis and pool aside we played boules in the courtyard and table tennis in the tower. Eat and drank too much abd the children had a wonderful time with all the space and freedom that the property provided. Can't wait to return. Duras is a lovely town and the wine festival is an experience not to be missed.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, People with Disabilities
