Quietly situated in a rural location, overlooking a lake, it is an ideal spot to relax and enjoy the surrounding countryside, go walking, cycling, birdwatching or play golf on the local golf course, which is only 10 minutes drive away. It is within easy reach of many attractions, Futuroscope, La Rochelle, Cognac and Bordeaux. In October there is a Bird Festival in Menigoute and Parthenay has a Medieval quarter, Poitiers is beautiful with a wonderful shopping centre. Within easy reach there are a lot of beautiful Churches and glorious scenery. The property itself is a home from home with a fully fitted kitchen, (electric hob and oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, washing machine is available, plus crockery and cutlery). Large lounge with old beamed ceiling and wood burning stove. Two double bedrooms, one with double bed and a cot bed, the other with double bed and bunk beds. Bathroom with showerand toilet, plus second toilet downstairs. Shared garden, BBQ and fenced splash pool

In a beautiful setting L'Andraudiere offers you home from home comfort. The kitchen is fully equipped with electric oven and hob, together with fridge and microwave, a washing machine is available, and a table which seats six people. All crockery and cutlery are supplied together with tea towels, oven gloves etc. The large lounge, with its stylish original old beams, includes a t.v. and satellite with gives you French or English programmes, comfortable sofas and a chair, a table which seats four people and a large fireplace with a log burning stove. The bedrooms are large, one with a double bed and a cot bed, the other with double bed and bunk beds. The bathroom has a toilet, sink, bath and separate shower. All linen is provided, except for beach towels. There is also a downstairs wash room with toilet and vanity unit. There is also a highchair and a stair gate available. Outside there is a large garden, splash pool and BBQ. English speaking owners are on site.

The nearest village is Vasles, which, although not large has a Church, bank, hairdressers, small supermarket, petrol station, restaurant, post office, bread shop butchers and a small cinema. It also has the Mouton Village which has amazing facts and figures about all different races of sheep. Parthenay is a Medieval town and has a section relating to this, together with a shopping centre and it also has festivals of various kinds during the summer. Poitiers is a beautiful place, with lots of shops and a large Church, Notre Dame. It also has an ice skating rink , cinema and a ten pin bowling alley. Pescalis is about 40 mins drive away, but is a large fishing area with approximately 100 hectares of different lakes, amongst other attractions. At Aryon, 5 mins away there is a manmade beach, with water activities such as canoeing and swimming. There are also local indoor and outdoor swimming pools. Futuroscope is about 30 mins away and has fun things to do for children and adults

Or take a drive to one of the other numerous gold courses in the area, all within approximately 30 minutes to one hours drive away.

Enjoy the wonderful french cuisine in the local restaurants and ferme-auberge, or simply shop at the supermarket and enjoy your own private barbeque at home sat outside in the sunshine.
