Luxury Bed & Breakfast Manor and Gites

Luxurious, elegant town and country bed&breakfast manor offering beautiful, spacious double rooms and family suites in our Bed & Breakfast rooms, as well as two fully equipped Gites which sleep 5 people each. Set in private grounds of 4 acres, including a large heated swimming pool (open mid April to mid October), private parking, gardens and parkland leading to a boutique vineyard, fruit trees and a small wood; all just two minutes walk from the village square. All rooms are spacious and light, equipped with flat-screen tvs, sparkling en-suite shower rooms and WCs and are elegantly decorated. Soft, high quality duvets and pillows provide a comfortable night's sleep. A Continental breakfast is included in our Chambres d'hotes rates. A freshly prepared four-course table d'hotes evening meal is an option, created from fresh local produce, at a cost of 25 euros per adult and 18 euros per child. Adult meals include an aperitif and wine. 10 euros option for Under-10s

The well appointed and attractively appointed Gites comprises a private patio/garden withtables and chairs and own barbecue, and are close to the swimming pool, set in acres of our private parkland. The living area(s) comprise: -fully equipped kitchen with microwave, cooker, washing machine and dishwasher -breakfast table and chairs -comfortable sofa and armchairs, and television with DVD/video player Upstairs comprises of a master (double bed) bedroom and a triple bedroom. Unusually for gites, there is the luxury of an en-suite shower/bath room and wc for each bedroom. Guests in the gites have access to the tranquil gardens and grounds of La Roseraie, whilst enjoying the convenience of being able to walk into the village for fresh croissants in the morning. Enjoy the unique combination of the peace and beauty of the countryside, just minutes' walk to the thriving village square of Neuville-de-Poitou which hosts a fabulous market on Sunday mornings.

The lovely La Roseraie has 4 acres of private garden and parkland, yet within a few minutes' walk from the thriving village square of Neuville-de-Poitou, where a visit to the lively Sunday market is a 'must'. We are conveniently located for the easy exploration of much beauty and history, including Futuroscope, a media theme park which attracts 1.7 million visitors a year. Central to the Loire Valley, La Rochelle, historic Poitiers, etc. Poitiers (20 minutes), the capital of the region, is steeped in history and boasts some of the oldest remaining Roman architecture in France. The Marais Poitevin (green marshland) is a strange and unique place, where one can hire a flat-bottomed boat to explore the waterways and sight charming waterside homes, flora and fauna and, particularly, bird life. The Loire Valley is within 45 minutes drive and a 'must do' for the fairy-like chateaux and ancient towns and villages. There is much to do for both couples and families alike.

Whilst the living area is on the ground floor, the bedrooms are upstairs and therefore unsuitable for the infirm and for wheelchairs. As we have two little Jack Russels, we regret we are unable to welcome pets. Children are welcome and, for very young children who cannot swim, our swimming pool is fenced and gated. La Roseraie is particularly safe for children and parents can relax, as we have acres of garden and parkland for children to play. For the comfort of other guests, we have a no-smoking policy in all the buildings. Smokers are welcome to smoke in the garden and ashtrays are provided.

There are three excellent golf courses within 20/30 minutes from La Roseraie: ***GC Château des Forges Set in a 600 acre domain, this beautiful design by Björn Eriksson features 27 holes, playable all year round, with something for every golfer. The Blue Course is flat and wooded, the White features several water hazards and the Red has large, undulating greens to test low-handicappers. ***Haut Poitou A long par 73 with a particularly tough, wooded back nine and a flatter, water-strewn outward half. ***Golf Club de Poitiers, Challenging and relaxing is perhaps the best way to describe this attractive 27 hole course on its 110 hectares of unspoilt countryside. It is challenging because of its undulating nature, lakes, bunkers and fabulous greens. It is hardly ever necessary to make a reservation, just enjoy the course and take your time.
