This is a recently renovated, well equipped old stone house in a charming hamlet, over the road from the long cross country skiing circuit of Le Molliet. It is a ten minute drive from the house to the Grand Massif Express cable car in Samoens, with access to the Flaine ski area. The house is cosy, comfortable and has all modern appliances including a dishwasher and washing machine, 4 ring gas stove, oven. It is heated by two wood burning stoves - one in the lounge and one in the kitchen. There is ample seating in the kitchen around a modern table. There is also a large oval pine table in the lounge for evening meals. A spiral staircase leads up from the lounge to all bedrooms, a bathroom and toilet

The house in situated in Le Molliet, which is a small rural hamlet of a dozen houses four kilometres from Sixt, a very pretty traditional alpine village. There is a small 'Sherpa' supermarket, a baker who makes wonderful croissants, a clothes shop, bars, restaurants and a ski shop and ESF ski school. Le Molliet is in the Giffre valley situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty, which is preserved as a national heritage site.

  • There ar two bathrooms in the house. The downstairs bathroom has recently been decorated. It is fully tiled , with an enamel bath and shower attached. There is a heated towel rail, a wash basin and the washing machine. The upstairs bathroom has a shower cubicle that currently only works in summer. There is a wash basin, and storage drawers. There is also a separate toilet, close to the bedrooms.

  • Two bedrooms have beautiful views over the mountains. All bedrooms have new beds and mattresses. The sofa in the lounge converts to a sofa bed. If you wish to use this, gently pull out the base, and then lift the mattress towards you with the loop handle. The duvet is in the upstairs corridor. Please bring your own sheets duvet covers, towels and tea towels.

Winter: In winter, the area is a ski paradise! It is possible to ski in Sixt, which is a five minute drive from the house. This is a small but beautiful resort with one green run (next to a friendly bar) a handful of button lifts, and a chair lift to fantastic off piste skiing. The traditional resort of Samoens has a recently opened cable car which lifts you to the majestic ski paradise of the Grand Massif. Opposite the house is the popular ski de fond circuit, which takes you through the beautiful forest to the Fer - à - Cheval. It is also possible to hire 'raquettes' and explore the mountains on foot. For those without a fear of heights, you can always try parapenting with skis!

Summer: Summer activities include endless mountain walks, cycling, white water rafting, swimming in the lakes, golf and plenty of time to relax, unwind and enjoy the stillness, peace and tranquility of a classified area of outstanding natural beauty.
