About the area:
The area is steeped in roman history from the Valley of the Frescoes along the banks of the River Gartempe with its myriad chapels, churches chateaux to the World Heritage site of the Abbey of St Savin.
For the young at heart, experience the delights of the European park of the moving image at Poiters, the Futuroscope, only forty minutes drive. Fifty minutes south the world renowned centre of porcelain, Limoges. An easy day out you can visit the chateaux of the Loire Valley or for beach lovers the coasts of La Rochelle and Royan are all about an hour and a half drive away.
For nature enthusiasts, Boursignoux is only thirty minutes drive from one of Europe’s largest wildlife reserves, Les Mille Etangs de la Brenne with over five hundred species of birds and water life.
The area is ideal for cycling and walking with many kms of bridlepaths. Bicycles can be hired locally.
For water sports look no further than the beautiful Lac Eguzon, only 25 minutes drive away. Over 20 kms in length you can do everything from water skiing, saling, canoeing and kayaking,diving swimming and for the less adventuress there are always the pedaloes.
Christmas and New Year bookings:
Boursignoux is perfect for a big family Christmas or New Year Party with accommodation for up to twenty one people. Extra folding beds for children are available on request.

Golf:
There are two excellent golf courses both within forty five minutes drive of the house,either at Mignaloux de Beavoir or at St Cyr. Both 18 holes. There is also a nine hole pracice link in Belabre on 15 minutes away.
