Close to a supermarket and petrol station. 15 mins from Sable d’Olonne. With a wonderful beach plenty of café/bars.
We visited mid July only saw rain on one day. Often cloudy a.m. and very hot and sunny by the midday.
It was very clean.
I visited with my family ages from teenagers to one disabled person of 75. The property suited us all.
The bedrooms; very limited storage space. One bedroom for four had no draws, cabinets and only one clothes rail; it was a similar in all the bedrooms.
The bathrooms were as described.
The kitchen was well equipped as described. One disappointment there were no basic items, no cleaning materials, washing up liquid etc. It was as though anything that had been left by the previous tenants had been totally removed.
The dinning area was great we all ate together.
The lounge did not cater for the number of occupants. There was seating for 7.
The outside dining area and loungers were really comfortable.
The barbecue was fine but no lighters or charcoal for the first day of arrival.
The pool table, tennis (short tennis) court, table tennis were all top class.
The pool with the cover for the mornings or evenings and in the daytime when it is hot we did slide the roof back and have an open air pool.
The gym is a good size the equipment was a high standard.
The hot tub is two people, it took some time to heat up.
The sauna is small.
There is a small play area for children in the bottom corner of the garden the area is not visible from the house.
Beware;
We only received the contract in French some things were missed. The owner promised to translate it into English but never did.
On arrival a large bond was expected, this was a bit of a shock.
The crockery and glassware of a high standard, breakages must be paid for. We purchased some tableware and used our own.
The air conditioning did not function correctly. The owner was aware of this it had not worked for two years. We were very disappointed with this.
There is parking for two cars. We had three and parked one on the grassed area the owner became very annoyed about this, we apologised and then parked one outside the property. This was on a lane and not very secure..
We were then asked for a cleaning fee on departure; this was not clear before we arrived.
No linen changed at end of week 1. Recommend property to anyone it was amazing there were some drawbacks. The service from the owner should measure up with the standard of the property.
