Bed linen is included and should be collected from reception on arrival. Towels are not included but can be rented locally (approx €8 per person per week). End of stay cleaning is to be paid by the guest and is approx €30 for 2 room apartments and €40 for 3 room apartments. Cleaning kits are also available for €5. Television is €39/week.
Vaujany/Alpe d’Huez :
Vaujany is a small French mountain village situated over the back of the Alp D'Huez Massif, so if you wish to enjoy the vast skiing of a top quality resort but prefer to return to a more traditional atmosphere in the evenings, then Vaujany is for you. You cannot normally ski down to Vaujany itself.
Vaujany has a new sports centre with swimming pool, sauna, hammam and fitness hall, an open-air ice rink, couple of bars and restaurants and a nightclub, but essentially is a quiet resort.
THere is a nursery for children of 6 months to 5 years and a leisure centre for children 6 to 11 years old.
Getting there : :
By Air: Lyon or Grenoble Airport - approx. 2hrs 30mins transfer (Lyon), approx 1 hour from Grenoble.
By Train: Grenoble Station - Bus or taxi to resort (63km away).
By Car: Autoroute to Grenoble. A48 exit (Oisans resorts) to Bourg D'Oisans. Follow signs.
Ski:
Access to the Alpe D'Huez area ia by a two stage, 160 person cable car that will transport you to 2800m in approximately 15 minutes. For those skiers who need a challenge, the mid station gives direct access to the Oz and Vaujany sectors of the skiing. However for beginners there is a gondola from the village to the nursery slopes of Vaujany. you can not normally ski into Vaujany itself. There is also a new snowboard park for winter 05/06.
The resort has 8 green runs, 9 blue runs, 9 red runs, 3 black runs.
