This self catered one bedroom comfortable apartment is in the picturesque village of Argentiere. It is fully equipped with a flat screen tv, cd, dvd and IPOD docking station. The kitchen is equipped with a 4 ringed hob, microwave, fridge and washing machine. The bathroom is fully fitted with a shower and bath. It has the capacity to sleep 6, 2 in the double bedroom, a double sofa bed and 2 further beds in the lounge. There is a comfortable dining area and parking. The apartment looks out onto the spectacular mountain range of the Grand Montet and Mont Blanc. Ideally situated in the heart of the village, where there are bars, restaurants and a supermarket and less than 10 minutes walk to the Grand Montet lift station. It offers an unrivalled choice of skiing for beginners and experts. For non skiers the regular bus takes you 15 minutes to the busy town of Chamonix where there are bars, shops, restaurants, swimming pool and sports facilities.

Location: Argentiere in France

Car: not necessary
The village of Argentiere is just six miles from the town of Chamonix and is the ideal location for a summer or winter holiday. The skiing ranges from 3300m to 1200m and the summers are hot and sunny. There are walking and biking trails just five minutes from the apartment and a top class golf course nearby. Argentiere is ideally placed for days out. It is just 15 minutes from both the Swiss and Italian borders. Lake Geneva is just an hour away and the medieval French resort of Annecy is beautiful and not to be missed.

Summer activities. Activity: There is so much to do for everybody, whatever your experience. Rock climbing for all levels. Trekking from the famous Tour du Mont Blanc to escorted hikes with the assistance of mountain guides. Mountain biking on marked trails. Sightseeing: The Aiguille du Midi cable car takes you high into the Alps where you will climb 3842m and witness the most amazing views across Switzerland, Italy and France. The Montenvers funicular railway takes you to the mouth of the famous Mer du Glace glacier. There’s a lot to see at the historic alpine museum, many shops, bars and restaurants. Relaxing: There are gentle marked walking trails you can enjoy. An outdoor swimming pool, 18 hole golf course and tennis courts nearby. You can also enjoy massages, yoga and thermal baths.

Ski: Skiing information. Argentiere is the mecca for skiers of all abilities. The apartment is less than 10 minutes walk from the Grand Montets lift station with its blue, red, black and off-piste runs. There are three other ski areas within a 15 minute drive or bus ride. Le Tour, the sunniest and snowiest end of the valley is 2 miles from Argentiere and ideal for beginners and intermediates. Le Flegere, 3 miles down the valley is a large south facing slope for intermediates and experts and it is linked by cable car to Le Brevent ski area, directly facing Mont Blanc. Le Brevent has a green beginners slope right on the top of the mountain, to allow beginners to get off the valley floor and have a taste of real high mountain skiing before the end of the week. A free ski bus to all these areas departs from right outside the apartment.

Warm and cosy apartment, close to excellent slopes for skiing for a family holiday. Very close to some great restaurants. What a view from the window - snow capped mountains that take your breath away. Highly recommended to our friends and family. Gordon Dodds
The apartment was exactly what we wanted. It was very convenient for the centre and shops. Absolutely no problem to go for the bread before breakfast and the supermarket was also very handy. The local restaurants were excellent and the Sports Shop was particularly helpful. We have praised your apartment to a number of our friends. Your apartment was a wonderful experience which is bound to tempt us back. David and Gill McKaigue

A lovely apartment right in the middle of town with only a short walk to the ski lifts, supermarket, ski shops, bars, restaurants, bakery and train station. You can walk the snow covered paths to a fabulous fir tree wood with a great little cafe. The town is only a 15 min drive away to the hussle and bussle of Chamonix with all the bars and restaurants you need.
While sitting on the sun trapped patio eating breakfast you can enjoy the superb mountain views and breathe in the clean fresh air.
The apartment is comfortable, clean and cosy with a great DVD collection. After a tiring day out sit back and enjoy one of your favourite films with a nice bottle of wine.
A great location ideal for skiers or non skiers alike.

A perfect location with mountain views and next to a mountain stream where we could take out wine and sit in the sunshine. Perfect for walking.
The appartment was well provided with everything we neede but was a little 'tired' in places. Nothing that should deter you but needed a good clean up and the carpets steam cleaned.
Main problem was the bedding. The pillows need replacing and should be provided with extra covers to avoid staining. We paid for towels and bed linen and we could have purchased better in the UK for the same price. Had it not been for the bedding it would have scored higher.
Owner's Response: Since the above review, I have visited my property and carried out the following work. All carpets have been professionally steam cleaned, a thorough clean has taken place and the kitchen has been re-painted. I have cleaned all the sofa covers and curtains.

As far as the bedding is concerned, I have purchased new pillows, new top of the range linen and bath towels, that will now be available for hire.

I want to ensure that your stay in my apartment with those beautiful mountain views is as pleasureable as it can possibly be.
