Villa Vallet Chalet in Chamonix Centre: Villa Vallet, an Epi-centre located, 1000 sqft, privately owned, ground floor Luxury home in MGM's latest 19th Century style development in Chamonix - completed in November 2004. It has its own private 1000 sq. ft. terrace with stunning open views towards Chaine du Mont Blanc, Aiguille du Midi and the Le Brevent ski area. We are situated next door to Ecole du Ski and a short 4 minute walk to the Brevent ski lift system, giving access to one of the largest ski areas in the valley. Chamonix’s finest restaurants, bars and shops are even closer whilst the rest of the valley's ski area is easily accessible by the in-resort Ski-Bus which runs past the development. The owners have created a living area to incorporate tasteful contemporary designer fittings (including some of their own private art collection). The open plan spacious modern living area was designed to accommodate large groups comfortably. The area has a sumptuous L-shaped sofa strewn with cosy cushions.

An apartment in chamonix thats fun for the family: Incorporated into the lounge area is a custom designed oak-built breakfast and drinks bar adding further seating and a place to hang out. Looking towards the kitchen, it ensures the designated washer-uppers or chefs don’t get left out during mulled wine drinking chill-out times. For the chefs amongst you, the granite work-top and modern steel appliances will give you the luxury you require in the truly authentic yet modern U-shaped kitchen. The living room is also equipped with a 22' flat-screen LCD TV, all-region DVD player (including a choice of over 100 of the owners DVDs), state-of-the-art hi-fi system that plays MP3s pre-burned onto a CD. Guests will also have use of the owners XBox or PS2 (including many games), board games and puzzles such as Risk, Pictionary, Scrabble and Chess.

Sleeping arrangments !: The dining area seats 8 comfortably around a custom-made Scandinavian dining table crafted from wood and glass. This area opens out through large patio doors onto the private terrace offering a spectacular vista of the surrounding valley. The apartment's 3 bedrooms have been designed for maximum comfort whilst having flexible enough layouts to accommodate 6-9 guests (including sofa-bed). All three bedrooms have natural wood flooring, built-in storage space and have been tastefully furnished with high-quality Alpine furniture and more than enough wooden hangers! 6 single beds, 1 double sofa-bed and 2 further pull-out beds are provided for your stay, providing the best possible combinations of sleeping arrangements. There are 2 luxury bathrooms fitted with granite tops, oak units and halogen lighting. One of these bathrooms is en suite with a shower and WC. The other offers a full-size bath tub. The apartment has 2 private underground car parking spaces in the basement.

Ski: This is Chamonix mont Blanc. It needs no introduction as the greatest ski area in the Alps. The one thing people worry about before booking a holiday in Chamonix is, it isn't Ski in SKi Out. Once you have experienced, the vibrant town of Chamonix, you will understand that despite this small inconvenience, people come back to Chamonix year after year...and then come back in the summer too!

Wow!...was our first words. The pcitures do not do it justice. We didn't think it was possible to have such a nice place at this price in chmonix centre!..Its perfect for everything....

Dear Sir,
We stayed in your apartment last year. We have been coming to chamonix for 8 years and loved what you have done with your place. We are wondering if it is avaialble again. It is the best apartment we have stayed in all our visits to Chamonix.....

Our kids loved it...we came here to show them the mountains, instead they played your video games and watched your DVD's. They had a great time....

GREAT APARTMENT IN EXCELLENT LOCATION

The apartment was just as described in writing and pictures on the website. It was spacious for our family of 4 people. Polite, friendly concierge staff responded positively with our delayed arrival and a problem with the washing machine. Don't be put off by the ‘rules’ which ensure everyone treats the apartment with respect keeping it clean and well maintained. Some soft furnishings stained due to colour of fabric.
Ideal place to carry out plenty of activities without needing the car. The teenagers felt safe and confident to go out in the evenings.
It was very quiet around the apartment. Someone did say that it is a little noisy in the winter season.

What we’d recommend:
CABLE CAR to AIGUILLE DU MIDI/Point Helbronner (€55 pp). Set off early so that you have time to see everything and avoid the queues.
TRAIN to LA MER DE GLACE. (€21 pp). Go early. The later trains coming back are packed. Lunch in the panoramic restaurant (summer only).
MONT BLANC TUNNEL to AOSTA, ITALY (€33 one way). Expensive to be in a series of tunnels. Aosta is a lovely old Roman town with plenty of ruins to prove its heritage. Travel back over the Col du Grand-Saint-Bernard) the most ancient pass through the Western Alps and a very rewarding drive if you like that kind of thing. Scenery to die for all the way from Italy, into Switzerland and back to the Chamonix Valley through Argentierre. Don’t forget your passports!
Cable car to PLAN DE L’AIGUILLE and WALK to MONTENVERS along the ‘GRAND BALCON NORD’. Take the zig zag route up 150m to the viewpoint of Signal Forbes where you can look over the Mer de Glace and the Aiguilles Verte. Take the train down to Chamonix. Cable car/train ticket €21 each or €63 for a family.
BUY the book ‘MONT-BLANC TRAILS’ short walks to suit all ages and abilities.

Eating Out
TIGRE TIGRE, 239 Avenue Michel Croz (near the station).
Our friends own this Indian restaurant. Ask Jono to make you one of his flamboyant cocktails.
ATMOSPHÈRE, 123 Place Balmat.
Very nice restaurant. Try to book a table on the covered terrace over the river.
HAMEAU ALBERT 1ER, 38 Route du Bouchet. (2 Michelin stars)
We had 2 celebrations so pushed the boat out. A gastronomic experience. Staff are delightfully helpful.
LA MAISON CARRIER priced a little lower than its sister the Albert 1er.
Food was excellent. Try to make it to the dessert buffet where you choose as many as you wish. Service not entirely top notch when we ate here.
PICNIC as often as you can!
