Delightful Alpine studio chalet with panoramic views, La Clusaz

Au coeur de la montagne dans un endroit tranquille, le lieu est parfait pour des vacances dépaysantes. Relié au merveilleux domaine skiable de La Clusaz, le col de la Croix-Fry bénéficie d'un emplacement exceptionnel que l'on apprécie du balcon du studio. Vue sur les Aravis enneigées et ensoleillées, quoi de mieux pour bien débuter une journée ? Le studio bien aménagé par Vanessa et Huw est un cocon que l'on retrouve avec grand plaisir aprés le ski. On peut même commencer 20 mn avant l'ouverture du domaine en descendant vers le massif de l'Etale ou vers le bas de La Clusaz. Vraiment, chez Vanessa et Huw on se sent bien, je garde bien précieusement leurs coordonnées pour de prochaines vacances à la montagne. Bravo les Anglais!

I would just like to say how charming and cosy this apartment is. After a hard days skiing, either on your door step in Croix Fry or 4 miles down the road in La Clusaz, it was great to return to the apartment and chill out! The kids played with the numerous games available or we all watched a dvd, a great selection.

We decided to drive to France for the first time. A long journey on the way out 12 hours from Calais (it was half term week though), but only 8 hours back to Calais. Snow chains are a must, its a steep winding drive up off the main road. There is a Carrefour supermarket a few miles down the valley in Thones, where you can stock up on your essentials. The lift passes are very reasonable in Croix Fry. La Clusaz is a wonderful village, lovely shops and several other activities to do such as the swimming pool, where you can swim outside.

The apartment is in a great position. I advise to get there during daylight, it would be difficult to find in the dark. Although the apartment is small, it is more than adequate for a family or 4, mum, dad and 2 kids (12 & 9).

We hope to use it again and fancy a break in the summer as the scenery is wonderful.

I would like to thank both Huw and Vanessa for letting my family use their fantastic appartment.
I go skiing each year with my wife and 2 young children (aged 5 and 8) and normally we stay in Morzine or Tignes. As my youngest was now old enough to learn to ski I though that we would try somewhere different.
I am so pleased that we did. The entire area is charming and from the appartments balcony, which is a great little suntrap the views are stunning. The skiing itself is great and suits standards of every level and I was confident in teaching the youngest. After an exhausting day the appartment was a welcome sight for sore legs. The wife and I could relax whilst the children were able to watch DVD's, listen to music or pick up a book and read.
Will definately be going back, thank you.
