Superb Apartment for 5/6 in La Plagne directly on the pistes at 2050m
La Plagne is one of the vast high level ski resorts in the Savoie region of France - site of the 1992 winter Olympics. La Plagne is the largest single resort ski area in the world. It has well over 200km of piste, 114 ski lifts and almost limitless off piste. Its total uphill capacity is over 118000 skiers per hour (more even than Val d'Isere and Tignes combined!). Being such a high level glacier resort, the area is very snow sure, and usually skis from December to mid May as well as summer skiing on the glacier. Plagne Soleil is a relatively new village (11 yr. old), built in 'chalet style' and situated at 2050metres, directly on the pistes. The apartment is very well equipped for up to 6 people and has a south facing balcony overlooking the central square and the pistes.

Plagne Soleil is part of the La Plagne ski area - the largest single area ski resort in the world. Situated in the Tarantaise region of Savoie. It is also linked to Les Arcs by a Double Decker cable car giving access to over 425km of pistes and 3 glaciers.

All prices are per apartment per week and include all electricity costs. In addition there is a reservation and cleaning/damage deposit of £100 (payable on booking) which will be returned to you after your stay, provided the apartment is left clean and undamaged for the next occupants.

| Notes: | The Apartment is fully equipped for up to 6 people (although 4/5 would be more ideal), having 1 double bedroom, bunkbed area and double sofa bed, as well as a south facing balcony. The kitchen has a fridge, 4 hot plates, combined microwave/oven/grill and dishwasher. There is also a ski locker on the ground floor. The village has all it's own amenities, including ski school, sports shop, restaurants, bars, supermarket etc. and is built at the intersection of several pistes and ski lifts, so that you can ski to and from the door step all season. |

The apartment is situated so that skiing for all ability levels could not be more convenient - several Pistes and lifts go straight by the door. For beginners and children, free nursery slopes and lifts operate near the central square. For the intermediates, La Plagne is renown for its miles and miles of wide open 'motorway' pistes. For the more adventurous and advanced, the black runs around the glacier are a must as are the vast expanses of off piste areas (all serviced by a lift at some point). For snowboarders, there is a purpose built border cross course and a world championship half pipe (both free). The Berlitz ski guide gives La Plagne the following ratings (out of 10): Ski Conditions 9 Snow Conditions 8 For Beginners 9 For Intermediates 9 For Advanced 7
La Plagne is a multi-activity resort offering a full range of winter and summer activities, including mountain biking, paragliding, hiking, summer skiing on the glacier. There are also swimming pools, gymnasiums, tennis courts, cinemas etc.

La Plagne is also a vibrant summer mountain resort offering a full range of activities from summer skiing on the glacier to hiking. From tennis to swimming. From rock-climbing to cycling. For those in to mountain biking, there is the possibility of using the ski lifts in the summer to access the many marked mountain bike trails that cover the whole of the domain.
Skiing Information:
La Plagne is the largest single resort ski area in the world. It has well over 200km of piste, 114 ski lifts and almost limitless off piste (including the famous 15km non pisted decent from the glacier to Montchavin - dropping 6000ft vertically!). It is also possible to ski to Les Arcs, which along with Val d'Isere and the 3 Valleys is included in the lift pass. Just to let you know that we had a fantastic FIRST family skiing holiday!
The apartment was perfect and the square had all facilities.
Bob and Maureen were first class. They were very welcoming and informative. Also we found two of the light bulbs weren't working and they were back the next day with replacements! Unheard of service!
La Plagne Soleil was an excellent resort for us - very average and beginner skiers and the sun shone everyday except Friday (our last day) - superb!
The children obviously want to come again so I will be keeping your details on my computer - we may well be back.
