As Arc 1950 nears completion we are delighted to announce that the resort won two awards in May 2006. Arc 1950 was awarded the “Best ski development and Best French apartments” in the Homes Oveseas Awards. he resort has been an unprecedented success as it has a great location, door step skiing and all the facilities a resort needs within a few steps from your accommodation. There are two companies managing the Arc 1950 residences. HMC will manage Le Hameau du Glacier, Le Refuge du Montagnard, the Prince des Cimes and Le Jardin de la Cascade. For winter 07/08 there will be four Radisson SAS residences to complete the property portolio. The Auberge Jerome and Sources de Marie will be joined by two new buildings, Chalet des Lys and Manoir Savoie. All guests will have access to the lounge with an open fire place in the Auberge Jerome together with the outside swimming pool, jacuzzi, fitness room, sauna and steam room.

The following services are included in the cost of your holiday: 24 hour a day reception, 7 days a week available in the Le Village, fireplaces in the reception areas, beds made on arrival and bath towels are provided, each apartment had telephone and satellite TV and an individual safe. HMC apartments have a mid week clean and change of towels. The following services are also available but are payable locally: restaurants and bars, B&B or half board package, daily house keeping, room service, internet connection, covered car parking -which needs to be requested in advance and is approx 70 euro. Please note that there is a free outdoor car park located at the entrance to Arc 2000.

Other Facilities

The Resort Club Arc 1950 “Le Village” offers a weekly entertainment programme for everyone. Examples of this are: • Floodlit skiing, torchlight descents and night time cross country • Introduction to snowboarding • Cartoon and movie shows • Barrel organ and Alpine horn concerts • Face painting and temporary tattoo artist • Local story telling • Ski joering (being pulled behind a horse on skis) • Wine tasting evenings • Blues and rock and roll concerts • Firework displays

Les Arcs is a snow sure resort with huge expanse of varied terrain. The villages are largely car free with a regular free bus service between them. A 7 minute funicular from Bourg St Maurice to Arc 1600 ensures the whole region is well connected. Non-Skiers have a huge choice including hang-gliding, paragliding, husky dog and horse sleigh rides, microlighting, paintball, an ice grotto and horseriding. Indoor options include an 8 lane bowling alley and a climbing wall.

Skiing Information:

Les Arcs offers a huge diversity of skiing with pistes for every standard of skier or boarder. All the villages have easily accessible nursery slopes, and intermediates will love the interlinked blue and red runs that range from high wide open space to sheltered tree runs. Experienced skiers will enjoy the variety of black runs and the guided off piste or they may even wish to try their hand at speed skiing. Les Arcs has fantastic facilities for boarders with a floodlit half pipe, specially adapted lifts, snow park and a permanent baordercross. The resort features 1 green run, 53 blue runs, 31 red runs, and 19 black runs.
