Set spectacularly high in the Arc mountains, Les Arcs is a wonderful modern resort with inspiring skiing. It boasts an amazing snow record and has excellent skiing for all abilities. The variety of skiing is huge from steep blacks to wide open cruising runs. Since December 2003 the Paradiski cable-car opened, linking Les Arcs with La Plagne to form one of the largest ski areas in the world (over 425km of piste skiing!). Les Arcs is made up of four villages - Arc 1600, Arc 1800, Arc 1950 and Arc 2000. Arc 1800 is the largest village with a lively atmosphere and excellent access to skiing. Situated between Mont blanc and Vanoise, Les Arcs Bourg Saint Maurice is faithful to it alpine heritage which it has succeeded in preserving. Set in a superb and preserved environment, the resort harmoniously blends tourism and tradition. Situated on piste amongst the trees this wonderful setting allows you to ski right back to your door. Chantel A is inside one of five new MGM chalet style buildings - built and finished to a very high standard. Situated at 1800m, Les Arcs is a superb snow-sure resort. It is now connected to La Plagne creating a huge ski area of over 400km of slopes. This development is located just above Les Arcs 1800 in a prime setting, which is on the slopes in the winter and on the golf course in the summer. It is also in walking distance to all amenities. It is built into the mountainside next to the slopes with magnificent views across the valley towards Mont Blanc. The complex is linked to the village below by a regular shuttle bus or you can ski down in a few seconds. This is the perfect opportunity for anyone looking for ultimate ski in, ski out location. The walk into the centre of Les Arcs is 5 minutes down and approx 8 minutes up.

Non Sports Activities

There is so much to do in Les Arcseven if you do not want to get carried away with the winter skiing or summer hiking. Besides the restaurants and bars, you can see and do so much. Our chalet is ideally in the centre close to the offices and bureaus to book these activities.

Skiing Information:

One of the most extensive and varied ski domains in the world - great for all types of skiers from beginners to advanced, Les Arcs now linked to La Plagne, the new Paradiski area, offers 420kms of pistes, including the Aiguille Rouge glacier above Arc 2000 and the Bellecote glacier in La Plagne, guaranteeing snow. Les Arc is a skiers and snowboarders heaven. For beginners, Les Arcs is well-equipped with gentle beginner's slopes - a boon for the inexperienced. For intermediates, Les Arcs offers fantastic tree-lined descents into Peisey Nancroix and Vallandry and a multitude of interlinked blue and red runs. We recommend you try some high altitude skiing on the Aiguille Rouge and Bellecote glaciers. For the advanced, ski the breathtaking 7km black run Aiguille Rouge right the way down into Villaroger (Europe's biggest vertical drop of 2000m), pound the moguls of Dou de l'Homme or take the new 200 seater lift over to La Plagne and return off-piste through the imposing Nancroix forest.
