This lovely self catering apartment has spectacular mountain views.Traditional and atmospheric decoration make it extremely comfortable, yet practical accommodation with a real chalet feel. All three bedrooms comfortably sleep 2 while the large sitting area offers additional sleeping facilities for up to 4 people on 2 sofa beds. The kitchen is well equipped for self catering and a generous dining table seats 9. Fantastically located a ten minute walk to village centre, restaurants and bars, and a few minutes by car or ski bus to the main ski lift station. The apartment is situated in a quiet residential hamlet surrounded by fields. The outdoor car parking is private and off road.

The apartment is situated in a quiet hamlet not far from the village centre of Les Contamines. The main ski lifts are a couple of kms away and easily accessed by car or ski bus. There are large free car parks at the base of the ski lifts. Les Contamines makes a great base for visiting the region and is only 1 hrs drive from Italy and Switzerland. Chamonix is just 30 mins drive, lake Annecy 1hr. The area is renowned for its fabulous walking, its cable cars giving a head start to those who prefer to walk down hill or simply enjoy the splendid views. Within a 5 min drive there is a swimming pool, swimming lake, boating lake (rowing boats, pedalos), play grounds, climbing facilities, tennis courts, pony riding, golf practice range, skiing (in winter) and much more.

THE SKIING: Les Contamines offers 120km of well groomed runs and a sophisticated ski lift system to suit all levels as well as plenty of safe, accessible off-piste. Most of the skiing is between 1600m and 2500m altitude. English ski instruction is available either in group lessons or private one to one instruction. For cross country skiers there are a large number of ski tracks at the village level. Snow garden and instruction from age 2 1/2 We are happy to help you make reservations in advance for ski lessons, ski lift passes etc. Ideal for snow boarding with mainly chair lifts. Traditional mountain restaurants.

THE VILLAGE: Les Contamines offers a choice of a dozen restaurants, a couple of bars, 2 small supermarkets, several boulangeries, butchers and plenty of ski and boot hire shops.

SUMMER: In summer Les Contamines offers a great many outdoor activities: an inexhaustible amount of spectacular hiking tracks, mountaineering, rock climbing, mountain-biking, tennis, golf (practice range July/August and several excellent courses within half hour drive) to name but a few. For families there are many entertainment’s (puppet shows, circus etc), a boating lake, swimming lake (and lovely outdoor pool 5 mins drive away) 2 very good playgrounds, treetop adventure trail, crazy golf, archery etc.

Other Activities: cross county skiing, snow-boarding, skidoos

My family and I got very lost in Geneva on our arrival. Sarah was brilliant in guiding us by phone to her beautifully made chalet. The advertising of the cabin did not do the place justice. We stayed in a 3 bed cabin which was very well set out. We had every thing we needed and if we didn't Sarah was there to help.
Bruno gave my children some skiing lessons and was so proffesional that they had 2 lessons and were skiing the nursery slopes with ease. (ages 6 and 7). I would recommend this property to a friend for sure.
We did notice the difference in the exchange rate so the resturants did seem expensive but there are lovely places to choose from.
