Our self-catered 6/7 berth apartment located is in the Les Hameaux du Lay area of Les Contamines close to the ski lift and grocery shop. Fully equipped kitchenette with a full supply of cooking & eating utensils, hob, fridge, microwave, electric toaster, electric kettle, dinning area, recently modernised bathroom, separate toilet and private terrace with garden furniture and views onto the glaciers opposite. A double sofa bed in the lounge, a bedroom with a double sofa bed, a set of bunk beds in the entrance hallway with an additional pull out bed underneath and a door to close it off from the lounge. There is an allocated external parking space (free) and a secure ski locker in the basement. Located in the stunning Mont Blanc Massiff of the French Alps, this charming, unspoilt village has retained all of its 'French' character. With lovely views of Mont Blanc & the surrounding mountains. There is plenty to offer for the most adventurous holiday maker to a peaceful & relaxing haven for those who simply want to take break away for it all. Les Contamines is just right for families with children of all ages, with swimming & boating lakes, horse riding, mountain walking, the Mont Blanc tramway, not to mention the famous 'Tour du Mont Blanc', there are plenty of restaurants, shops & bars offering the local cuisine, visit Chamonix for paragliding, tobogan run, cable car to the Agille du Midi. For the more adventurous rock climbing, high glacier mountaineering, mountain biking, white water rafting a short drive away, just to name a few. In winter there is 120km of uncrowded piste, plenty for all levels of skier, an excellent snow record to April, an excellent ski school & creche.

Additional information about rental rates

  • £100 security deposit required per rental period. This is returned if the apartment is left clean and tidy, ready for the next guests. Quilts/blankets are provided. Bed sheets, towels and pillow cases are provided for an additional £10 p/p per change. Our local rep will meet you on arrival and departure day.
  • End of stay cleaning is not included but can be booked for £35. If any cleaning is required before the next occupant can move in this will be deducted from your £100 deposit.
  • We can pre book your ski passes, airport transfers and equipment hire at a discounted rate and provide full arrival information with local reps to meet you. We can also pre book your lessons with ESF. Avoid the queues and have everything ready when you arrive. E mail us for a price list and full package quote. Notes: Broadband access is available from an internet cafe, 1 min walk from the apartment. Our staff are located close to the accommodation for any daily/general enquiries. The bakers is less than a minutes walk away for fresh bread etc and the supermarket is approx 50 metres away. Ski lift approx 150 metres.

At present an annual family policy fr 2 adults and 4 children is £53 including skiing and summer holidays. A single annual policy is £40 and a one week ski policy is £18. Channel crossings: We can book your return crossing any time of day for £125 per car on the ferry plus up to 9 passengers

Discounted ski passes & equipment hire: Approx 20% discount offered on all equipment hire in resort and 5% off pre booked ski passes even if you do not book our apartment. We can also pre-book your ski lessons so that you will not have to join the queues when you get there. Our staff ollect tickets in advance and give them to you with your apartment keys.

Ski: The Les Contamines ski area offers snow-sure pistes from mid December to the end of April and has a ski school with English-speaking instructors. Most of the skiing is above 1800m. The ski area has 120km of uncrowded pistes with 31 ski lifts, 44 pistes, including 3 nursery slopes in the village. Les Contamines has very good off-piste for the more adventurous skier. It also has 29km of cross-country skiing and there are 8 mountain restaurants. The Chamonix ski domain is 30 minutes away including Les Grands Montets at Argentiere. We can pre book your ski passes and equipment hire at discounted rates to ensure a hassle free start to your holiday.
