This apartment was completed in January 2006 and is located in the heart of Les Houches, immediately by the Bellevue cabin lift. Ski rental, ski school, restaurants and bars are right on your doorstep. In fact, the world famous Kandahar World Cup Downhill race finishes just next to this building! It has a sunny south east facing balcony with fantastic views of the Mt Blanc mountain chain and the Aiguille du Midi. The interior is in a contemporary style with whitewashed pine panelled walls, terracotta tiled floors and traditional Savoie touches. The owners have finished the apartment with subtle lighting and complementary fabrics. The intention is to create a smart modern interior with elements of the traditional reflected in the overall ambiance. Flat screen TV, DVD, Hi-Fi stereo and even a dock for your own iPod is available for your enjoyment. We are family friendly and also provide a high chair on request.

Les Houches: The ski area is the largest linked area in the Chamonix Valley. The varied gradient of runs make it particularly family friendly and is ideal for beginners to advanced skiers. Les Houches is just one hour from Geneva and 6km from Chamonix town, ideally located to explore all that the valley has to offer. There is a regular bus service with the bus stop right outside your door. The Kandahar apartment is in an ideal location right at the end of the piste, so you can ski down to your pad at the end of the day.

Les Houches: The village of Les Houches is quieter than nearby Chamonix but has its own unique character, typical of a rural French village. There is an old core with a pretty church and weekly market in the village square. Other amenities include restaurants, a few local bars, a boulangerie and a well stocked supermarket. The helpful tourist office is located on the village square opposite the church, only a stone’s throw away.

Other Activities: climbing, kayaking, summer luge, local markets, tree adventure, Animal park etc.

We loved you apartment. It was spacious and very comfortable with plenty of hot water and so tastefully furnished. We’ve stayed in lots of self catering apartments in the Alps and yours is definitely the best so far. We had a lovely week with good snow and a complete range of weather conditions. Shopping was easy, ski hire on the doorstep and everyone so helpful. We will be happy to recommend the venue and once the building work is complete it will be lovely.
