This apartment is in the newly built Kandahar building, located right opposite the Bellevue cable car in a wonderful part of Les Houches. The men’s world cup downhill race –Le Kandahar – takes place close-by each year. The apartment is a perfect base for skiing, hiking, mountain biking, walking or just relaxing in the beautiful scenery. The accommodation has been finished to a high standard and the kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms are all comfortable and well equipped. The terrace has excellent views and is accessed from large patio doors from the main bedroom and the living area. The lounge has a comfortable sofa and a TV, CD and DVD all-in-one player. The apartment comfortably sleeps 6 in 2 twin/double rooms and a sofa bed. We welcome families and can provide cots and high chairs on request.

Notes to the rental rates

• A 25% deposit is required to secure the booking with the balance payable 6 weeks before the holiday date. A security deposit will also be taken.
  Bookings are preferably taken from Saturday to Saturday although there may be flexibility, particularly in the lower season. Please contact the property administrator to ask about shorter breaks. Minimum stay is 3 nights.
  Unless by prior arrangement, arrival is no earlier than 4pm with departure by 10am

Skiing and snowboarding Chamonix & Les Houches

Skiing and snowboarding Chamonix and Les Houches is one of the world's most famous ski areas, having hosted the first Winter Olympics. Our apartment is situated 20metre's from the Les Houches Gondola and famous Chamonix downhill World Cup Run. Skiers and snowboarders of all levels are well-served in a variety of differing areas around Chamonix, including Brevent, Flegere, the famous Grands Montets and Domaine du Balme. The Mont Blanc pass also covers nearby areas including Les Houches, St Gervais, Megeve, Courmayeur and Les Contamines, all within an easy drive. Slightly further afield, but within an hour's drive are Verbier, La Thuile, Flaine and Les Carroz. Despite its reputation as an area for experts only, there are plenty of green, blue and red runs to satisfy beginners and intermediates alike. For the more experienced, Chamonix has miles and miles of adventurous off-piste, including the famous Vallee Blanche, an 18km experience from the Aiguille du Midi down to town centre.

With the draw of Europe's premier natural attraction, Mont Blanc, Chamonix never sleeps. Whether it's simply to soak up the stunning scenery or get the adrenaline pumping, there is plenty for everybody to do all year round. There are a wide variety of marked trails for hiking and trekking; well-maintained bolted routes for rock-climbing; limitless mountaineering opportunities including Mont Blanc itself; an ever-expanding network of mountain bike trails; some of the most consistent thermals for superb paragliding; raging white water rapids for rafting and hydro speeding; canyoning and abseiling down the spectacular valley gorges; golf at the Trent Jones Sr designed 18 hole course in Chamonix, as well as many other top quality courses nearby; the sports centre has an indoor and outdoor 50m swimming pool and a large grassed sunbathing area, water slides, numerous tennis courts, gym, spa, Jacuzzis, the list goes on!
