Chalet Myrtle is light and spacious with fabulous south-facing views across Samoens which can be enjoyed from the large balconies off the first and second floors. Due to the layout of the Chalet, it can be taken as a 1, 2 or 4 bedroom apartment or as a 6 or 7 bedroom Chalet sleeping 12 - 14 (18 including 2 sofa beds and futon). The chalet is ideally located being about a minutes walk from the InterSport and local shops, bars and restaurants. The Chalet benefits from being recently refurbished with new carpets throughout, new furnishings and fittings and is set in about an acre of private garden with its own large patio off the first floor kitchen with beautiful views. There is also plenty of space for parking with a large driveway and separate garage if needed. There is also a NEW heated BootRoom and NEW laundry room for guests. You will be greeted and shown around upon arrival and have the comfort in knowing that there is someone nearby should you require any further assistance.

From the kitchen one can eat on the patio with its lovely mountain views. There is also a TV and DVD player in the living room. The apartment has a double bedroom with wardrobe, chest of drawers and French doors onto a balcony. There is also a bunk bedroom with hanging space and a chest of drawers. This apartment has a shower room with good pressure and plenty of hot water! The dining room also has French doors onto the balcony. The apartment benefits from new carpet in the bedrooms and reception rooms, new curtains, beds, furniture and furnishings helping to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

Samoëns is a picturesque 17th century Alpine village in the Haute Savoie region of France, under an hours drive from Geneva (providing you don't get lost!) Samoëns provides access to excellent skiing. With the opening of the new Grand Massif Express in 2004, one can climb 1600m in 8 minutes. Le Grand Massif provides 265 kms of pistes ranging from 700m - 2500m with 3 board parks and 80 ski lifts taking you to Morillon, Les Carroz, Flaine and Sixt. Le Grand Massif benefits from a microclimate which has given Samoëns a fantastic snow record. Samoëns is a beautiful village and the only ski resort in France to be listed in the French National Office of Historic Monuments. The impressive Grand Massif mountain range surrounding Samoëns provides an excellent setting for Winter and Summer activities. With its own botanical gardens of Alpine plants, the Giffre River running through the valley and the many lakes, Samoëns is well worth a visit any time of year.

Winter Sports
There are over 260kms of slopes and fantastic off-piste skiing in the Grand Massif area. If you are a beginner there are excellent ski instructors and if you are more experienced and fancy a challenge then the numerous black runs and off-piste skiing should satisfy your appetite for fun! The relatively new Massif Express from Samoens is easy to reach either by car, walking (15 mins) or by the Shuttle Bus that constantly ferries skiers from the end of our drive to and from the lift.
Summer Activities
Samoens and the surrounding area offer a wide array of outdoor activities throughout the Summer season. from Parapenting, white water rafting and rock climbing, to tennis swimming and hill walking. Whatever age, you can enjoy a bike ride, gentle stroll or challenging climb in the fresh mountain air.

The chalet was amazing - quite the most luxurious accommodation that we've ever had on a ski holiday. When I think back I can remember the tiny, cramped apartments with a corner of the hallway partitioned off for bunk beds. It is extremely well equiped, although most of the kitchen utensils and pots seemed to have migrated to our downstairs apartment. So we did some sharing! Unfortunately we didn't manage to fill in the visitors book, due to lack of organisation on the last morning. There was only one improvement comment ( from a chef...) could the upstairs kitchen have a knife block like we had please?
