Chalet Myrtle is light and spacious with fabulous south-facing views across Samoens which can be enjoyed from the large balconies off the first and second floors. The chalet can sleep up to 14 people which includes 1 bunkbed and a super king which can be separated to make 2 singles. It can be taken as a 1 bed apartment; a 6 bed apartment or as a whole 7 bed chalet. It is ideally located as is only a couple of minutes walk from the centre of the village. The Chalet benefits from being recently refurbished and is set in about an acre of private garden with its own large patio off the first floor kitchen with beautiful views. It also has WiFi, satelite TV and 3 DVD players. There is also plenty of space for parking with a large driveway and separate garage if needed. There is also a new heated boot room and new laundry room for guests. You will be greeted and shown around upon arrival and have the comfort of knowing that there is someone nearby should you require any further assistance.

Stunningly refurbished to an exacting standard by an English Interior Designer this apartment makes an excellent base for anyone looking to have a memorable stay in Samoens. The apartment benefits from a large en suite bathroom, plenty of smart built-in wardrobes and a brand new fully equipped kitchen/diner. You also have the use of a sofa bed should you have any little ones with you. This Apartment can be taken seperately or as part of the entire Chalet. We have recently had Wi-Fi installed as well as Satelite TV and DVD players.

Samoëns is a picturesque 17th century Alpine village in the Haute Savoie region of France, under an hours drive from Geneva (providing you don't get lost!) Samoëns provides access to excellent skiing. With the opening of the new Grand Massif Express in 2004, one can climb 1600m in 8 minutes. Le Grand Massif provides 265 kms of pistes ranging from 700m - 2500m with 3 board parks and 80 ski lifts taking you to Morillon, Les Carroz, Flaine and Sixt. Le Grand Massif benefits from a microclimate which has given Samoëns a fantastic snow record. Samoëns is a beautiful village and the only ski resort in France to be listed in the French National Office of Historic Monuments. The impressive Grand Massif mountain range surrounding Samoëns provides an excellent setting for Winter and Summer activities. With its own botanical gardens of Alpine plants, the Giffre River running through the valley and the many lakes, Samoëns is well worth a visit any time of year.

  • Please note that the prices quoted include linen and towels but does not include cleaning. We ask guests to leave the chalet as they found it otherwise there may be additional cleaning charges. Prices do vary and we are happy to try and be as flexible as possible as we realise that not everyone wants to holiday from Saturday to Saturday. We do request a 25% reservation deposit as well as a 200 euro breakages deposit. Please enquire to discuss further.

Notes: Children and pets are all welcome as this is a very family orientated chalet and village. Samoens is an excellent place to learn how to ski and for Summer activities such as mountain biking, hill walking, swimming and tennis. The ground floor apartment is wheelchair accessible. Please note that all prices include linen and towels but do not include cleaning. This is charged at an additional 200 euros for the 7 bed chalet, 160 euros for the 6 bed chalet and 60 euros for the 1 bed apartment. To secure your booking we require a 50% deposit for the price of the week, and a month before your departure we require the remaining 50% plus a breakages deposit of 800 euros for the 7 bed, 500 euros for the 6 bed and 200 euros for the 1 bed.

Winter Sports: There are over 260kms of slopes and fantastic off-piste skiing in the Grand Massif area. If you are a beginner there are excellent ski instructors and if you are more experienced and fancy a challenge then the numerous black runs and off-piste skiing should satisfy your appetite for fun! The relatively new Massif Express from Samoens is easy to reach either by car, walking (15 mins) or by the Shuttle Bus that constantly ferries skiers from the end of our drive to and from the lift. Please note that the price per week includes linen and towels but does not include cleaning. This is charged on top at a cost of 200 euros for the 7 bed, 160 euros for the 6 bed and 60 euros for the 1 bed.

Summer Activities: Samoens and the surrounding area offer a wide array of outdoor activities throughout the Summer season. from Parapenting, white water rafting and rock climbing, to tennis swimming and hill walking. Whatever age, you can enjoy a bike ride, gentle stroll or challenging climb in the fresh mountain air.

The chalet was amazing - quite the most luxurious accommodation that we've ever had on a ski holiday. When I think back I can remember the tiny, cramped apartments with a corner of the hallway partitioned off for bunk beds. It is extremely well equiped, although most of the kitchen utensils and pots seemed to have migrated to our downstairs apartment. So we did some sharing! Unfortunately we didn't manage to fill in the visitors book, due to lack of organisation on the last morning. There was only one improvement comment ( from a chef...) could the upstairs kitchen have a knife block like we had please?
