Chalet Myrtle is light and spacious with fabulous south-facing views across Samoens which can be enjoyed from the large balconies off the first and second floors. The chalet can sleep up to 14 people which includes 1 bunkbed and a super king which can be separated to make 2 singles. It can be taken as a 1 bed apartment; a 6 bed apartment or as a whole 7 bed chalet. It is ideally located as is only a couple of minutes walk from the centre of the village. The Chalet benefits from being recently refurbished and is set in about an acre of private garden with its own large patio off the first floor kitchen with beautiful views. It also has WiFi, satelite TV and 3 DVD players. There is also plenty of space for parking with a large driveway and separate garage if needed. There is also a new heated boot room and new laundry room for guests. You will be greeted and shown around upon arrival and have the comfort of knowing that there is someone nearby should you require any further assistance.

This is a light and spacious chalet for 14 or it can be separated into 2 apartments - 1 x 1 bed and 1 x 6 bed. Guests can enjoy the entire chalet with its 4 bathrooms, three kitchens, two dining areas and two sitting rooms (+ kitchen/diner); one with a wood-burning fireplace, all with Satelite TV, Wi-Fi and DVD players as well as a CD and radio/tape player. The entire chalet consists of 5 double bedrooms, a twin that can create a Super King, and a bunk bedroom. There are balconies off both 1st and 2nd floor living areas with stunning south-facing views. The chalet has recently been refurbished with new carpets in all living areas, new curtains, beds, linen, furnishings and new appliances throughout. Guests can also enjoy the use of the garden and large terrace to the rear with inspiring mountain views. There is also plenty of parking and the use of a garage if required. Guests will be met upon arrival and have a local point of contact should they require further assistance.

Samoëns is a picturesque 17th century Alpine village in the Haute Savoie region of France, under an hours drive from Geneva (providing you don't get lost!) Samoëns provides access to excellent skiing. With the opening of the new Grand Massif Express in 2004, one can climb 1600m in 8 minutes. Le Grand Massif provides 265 kms of pistes ranging from 700m - 2500m with 3 board parks and 80 ski lifts taking you to Morillon, Les Carroz, Flaine and Sixt. Le Grand Massif benefits from a microclimate which has given Samoëns a fantastic snow record. Samoëns is a beautiful village and the only ski resort in France to be listed in the French National Office of Historic Monuments. The impressive Grand Massif mountain range surrounding Samoëns provides an excellent setting for Winter and Summer activities. With its own botanical gardens of Alpine plants, the Giffre River running through the valley and the many lakes, Samoëns is well worth a visit any time of year.

  • Please note that the prices quoted include linen and towels but does not include cleaning. We ask guests to leave the chalet as they found it otherwise there may be additional cleaning charges. Prices do vary and we are happy to try and be as flexible as possible as we realise that not everyone wants to holiday from Saturday to Saturday. We do request a 25% reservation deposit to secure the booking and an 800 euro breakages deposit prior to arrival. Please enquire to discuss further.

Notes: There is wheelchair access on the lower ground floor to the 1 bed apartment. Please note that all prices include linen and towels but do not include cleaning. This is charged at an additional 200 euros for the 7 bed chalet, 160 euros for the 6 bed chalet and 60 euros for the 1 bed apartment. To secure your booking we require a 50% deposit for the price of the week, and a month before your departure we require the remaining 50% plus a breakages deposit of 800 euros for the 7 bed, 500 euros for the 6 bed and 200 euros for the 1 bed.

Winter Sports: There are over 260kms of slopes and fantastic off-piste skiing in the Grand Massif area. If you are a beginner there are excellent ski instructors and if you are more experienced and fancy a challenge then the numerous black runs and off-piste skiing should satisfy your appetite for fun! The relatively new Massif Express from Samoens is easy to reach either by car, walking (15 mins) or by the Shuttle Bus that constantly ferries skiers from the end of our drive to and from the lift. Please note that the price per week includes linen and towels but does not include cleaning. This is charged on top at a cost of 200 euros for the 7 bed, 160 euros for the 6 bed and 60 euros for the 1 bed.

Summer Activities: Samoens and the surrounding area offer a wide array of outdoor activities throughout the Summer season. from Parapenting, white water rafting and rock climbing, to tennis swimming and hill walking. Whatever age, you can enjoy a bike ride, gentle stroll or challenging climb in the fresh mountain air.

The chalet was amazing - quite the most luxurious accommodation that we've ever had on a ski holiday. When I think back I can remember the tiny, cramped apartments with a corner of the hallway partitioned off for bunk beds. It is extremely well equiped, although most of the kitchen utensils and pots seemed to have migrated to our downstairs apartment. So we did some sharing! Unfortunately we didn't manage to fill in the visitors book, due to lack of organisation on the last morning. There was only one improvement comment ( from a chef...) could the upstairs kitchen have a knife block like we had please?
