The apartments are fully renovated yet retain the charm of an original wood clad farmhouse in the traditional Savoyarde style. With beautiful tranquil mountain surroundings offering stunning panoramic views overlooking the Giffre valley and Aguille du Midi. We provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere whether for relaxation or activity packed fun in summer or winter. Skiers have rapid access to one of the biggest ski areas of the Haute Savoie and one of the best snow records. The brand new Samoëns 8-seater gondola gives access to 260 km of pistes and links the five resorts in the Grand Massif. Summer provides for stunning walks and mountain bike trails starting from your door, from 30minute strolls to 6 day tours.

Samoëns offers excellent facilities for great holidays in the winter and summer seasons. It is located in the heart of the French Alps and at the heart of the valley of the Haut-Giffre, nestling at the foot of the majestic Criou mountain, just over an hour away by road from Geneva. Samoëns is a traditional Savoyard market town and has been awarded the coveted Coq d'Or, placing it among the top five most beautiful French villages. It is the only village classified by the 'Caisse Nationale des Monuments Historiques'. The guided visits are an excellent way to discover the history and traditional Alpine atmosphere of the town and its surrounding hamlets which is a great alternative to other more livelier spots. Being situated right in the middle of the Grand Massif, which includes the resorts of Morillon, Flaine, Sixt Fer à Cheval and Les Carroz there is ready access to over 265 km of pistes, between 700 and 2500 m, covering one of the most spectacular skiing areas in the Alps.

Other Activities Nordic skiing

Skiing Information:

Samoens is an up and coming resort and is well suited for family skiing as well as couples and groups. The local village provides good childcare facilities for those parents wishing to have some time on their own or alternatively, Samoens ski school also has very good tuition for children from tiny tots to early teens, both our children have enjoyed their lessons this season. If you require any help in booking your ski passes, ski lessons or child care please let us know, as every little helps. We are ten minutes drive from the new high speed gondola and ten minutes drive from the village, our accommodation is situated in a converted farm house that has been split into self-contained apartments, however as the hallway is communal it is very easy for 3 sets of guests to be connected to each other but still retain their own space. The large apartment can happily seat 10 to 14 adults for dinner so everyone can join each other in the evening in front of the blazing fire.
