Exclusive ski lodge in Samoëns - Grand Massif : Exclusive 3 bedroom ski chalet of 94sqm in a historical building from 1793 is to rent : “ The Viking Lodge ”. Located on the main old square of Samoens village it has a unique central location. Composed of three double rooms (2 rooms with 2 beds 90x200cm and one room with a 140x200cm bed), two en suite bathrooms (body jets in shower). The apartment is build with the finest materials (fitted kitchen, old wood, hand made 'terre cuite' on the floor, under flour heating) everything is brand new ! A Large Plasma TV 42', home cinema, DVD and sound system. It has a 6 person capacity. The lodge is located 600m from the main gondola that brings you up on the ski domain in 8 min. Transfers from the airport can also be arranged in a private minibus. Samoëns is only located 45min from Geneva airport.

The Viking Lodge is located on the main historical square of Samoëns - Grand Massif, a very French mountain village and ski resort that is classified as a historical monument. Grand Massif is the 5th largest ski area in France with 260km of slopes. Grand Massif is located in the northern French alps and due to its location it beats all snowfall records. Samoëns is a perfect spot to enter the Grand Massif ski domain and has numerous charming restaurants and shops.

Ski: Samoëns is connected to the huge Grand Massif (Flaine, Morillon, Les Carroz and Sixt) and is the 4th biggest ski area in France. You'll find skiing for all levels and you will find tons of snow. Grand Massif is the ski domain that get the most snow in whole France due to the close Mont Blanc and the Lac Léman (humidity). It is a fantastic area with lots of off piste, great large slopes in Flaine, easy family slopes in Morillon and nice steep slopes in Samoëns. We can also organise special tours with Heli skiing if needed.

Golf: You have 5 Golf courses within one hour of drive. You also have a practice in Samoëns for warming up.

Other Activities: Paragliding, snow scooter safari, sleep in a mountain refuge etc...

We stayed at the Viking lodge January 2008, and have booked again for 2009. The logde is located in the center of town, with easy access to all the shops. The bus to the ski-lift departs at a 5 minute walk.
The lodge is well equiped, and the owner is very friendly.
The only disadvantage is that there is no elevator, and the appartment is on the 2nd floor.
