Skiing/Snow Boarding:
The skiing in Val Thorens and the Three Vallayes is simply amazing. It boasts some 600km of varied pistes for the absolute beginner to the most adventurous advanced skier.
With 46 green, 101 blue, 108 red and 35 black pistes, 124km of Cross-Country trails, 1400 Snow Cannons, and a lift capacity of 243,000 skiers per hour, The Three Valleys ski domain is the largest in the world.
A choice of lift passes is available: Val Thorens, The Bellevedere Valley or the entire 3 Valleys. Beginners can use the many free ski lifts in the area.
Summer:
Val Thorens is also a vibrant summer mountain resort offering a full range of activities from summer skiing on the glacier to hiking. From tennis to swimming. From rock-climbing to cycling. For those in to mountain biking, there is the possibility of using the ski lifts in the summer to access the many marked mountain bike trails that cover the whole of the 3 valleys.

Ski:
With 6 glaciers and many peaks over 3000m, the quality and quantity of snow is legendary. Doorstep skiing on soft powder snow is the norm from November to mid May. Summer skiing is possible on the glacier.
For the most adventurous there are numerous mogul runs, endless miles of off-piste powder snow and several snow-parks including half pipes and boarder cross runs.
For the fit, the trip all the way out to Courchevel and back, tests both the legs and the heart.
