Val d'Isere, located in the Savoie area, Northern French Alps, is part of the extensive Espace Killy ski area, shared with neighbouring Tignes. Val d'Isere is famous for it's excellent skiing and boarding, boasting over 300 km of runs and unlimited off piste skiing. The variety of runs makes Val d'Isere an excellent choice for all abilities of skiers and snowboarders. The modern, rapid ski lifts maximise the amount of time spent on the slopes, and make waiting a thing of the past. Val d'Isere has an attractive centre with an excellent variety of shops, bars and restaurants. Whilst there is plenty off night life, the town is charming rather than rowdy.
