Solneige is located in the beautiful alpine village of Vaujany which combines the charm of a real mountain village with modern, up-to-date facilities. Located in the Alpe d'Huez ski area, Solneige offers you some of the best skiing in the French Alps! In the morning we will serve you a generous breakfast & coming home after another exciting day in the mountains you can enjoy your afternoon tea and aperitif in the ambiance of our vaulted ceiling living room (70m2) in front of the fireplace. Enjoy your after ski in the hot-tub or spoil your self with a very relaxing Hot Stone massage! In the evening we will serve you a superb culinary 4 course dinner in an ambiance with style. We will spoil you with our delicious art of cooking & we selected some very good wines for you. After dinner you can accompany your coffee with home made or local digestives. Each apartment has 3 bedrooms (bed linen provided), 2 bathrooms, a nice decorated living room, kitchenette & balcony.

Our chalet has 6 comfortable, attractively decorated bedrooms with there own en-suite facilities. 3 Double rooms, 2 triple rooms and 1 suite (family room) with 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. All the rooms have a big balcony or terrace with a breathtaking view over the Alpes. All our clients can use the beautiful vaulted ceiling living room with log fire and comfortable couches. There is a separate DVD home cinema room with a DVD and CD library. Unwind and rejuvenate yourself in the hot-tub with 62 jet streams for a relaxing close of a wonderful day in the mountains. Comfortable bathrobes are provided. Or spoil yourself with a Hot Stone massage, a greatly energising massage using the thermal healing power of heated basalt stones, a must for those wishing an escape from any strains and stresses. In the afternoon we welcome you with an afternoon tea and/ or aperitif with delicious cakes or 'tapas' and in the evening we will serve you a superb 4 course dinner.

Solneige is located in a quiet and peaceful spot just outside Vaujany, with south facing panoramic views over the valley, yet close to all facilities. Directly connected with the superb ski area of Alpe d'Huez (1250-3330m), Vaujany combines its authentic mountain atmosphere with the most up to date high-tech facilities. Superb skiing with a mighty vertical of 2230m, claimed to be the longest in the Alpes. Queuing is unknown in Vaujany! The free shuttle bus (bus stop next to our chalet), or our own on call shuttle service will bring you up to the village centre or cable car whenever you want in less then 3 minutes. We have a heated ski locker for you in front of the cable car, where you can leave behind all your equipments, safe and warmed. If you come with your own or hired car, there is a free covered parking place just in front of the cable car. In Vaujany is a very good day nursery, one of the best in the Alps! We can arrange your reservations!

VAUJANY IN WINTER:
In winter, there is alpine skiing from beginners-to blackslopes, for ski, skwal, telemark or cross-country. Skating and hang-gliding are also possible. If you are an outdoor person and a lover of mountain landscapes, discover another approach to the mountains. Put on your snow shoes and accompony your guide over prepared tracks amidst winter mountain panoramas. You'll discover the wild life, the antelopes and alpine fawn deer.
VAUJANY IN SUMMER:
In summer, you can go mountain climbing with experienced guides, fish in the lakes and mountain streams and hang-glide. There are tennis courts for free in Vaujany. Do you want to discover the mountains by bike or simply enjoy the peace of walking amongst flowers and countryside of spectacular beauty. There is something for everyone.
SOLNEIGE CULINAIR:
YOUR HOLIDAY WILL BEGIN WITH A SPARKLING APERITIF WHEN YOU ARE WELCOMED BY JAN, MIRJAM AND THEIR STAFF. In the morning we will serve you a generous breakfast with fresh bread and croissants, home made jams, cereals, orange juce, tea, fresh fruit, eggs and typical French yogurt. At the end of the day an afternoon tea or aperitif with ''tapas'' is waiting for you in front of the fireplace or in summer in the lovely garden. An excellent culinary 4-course dinner will end another beautiful day. Surprise yourself with our delicious dinner, carefully selected with fresh produce of the season, herbs from our own garden, home made chutney and the cheeses of our region. Of course you can accompany these dishes with excellent wines, which are found on our wine card, we gladly advice you. Skiing Information:
The ''Grandes Rousses'' massif covers 8 communes, 220 km of slopes for 3000 hectares ski able, and is the fifth largest ski area in France. The ''Grandes Rousses'' massif, with Alpe d'Huez as its capitol, is a genuine all-round ski resort with excellent nursery slopes, good intermediate runs, long black (difficult) trails and extremely serious off-piste. Vital statistics are: 3330 m-1100 m pisted giving 2230 m of vertical. 117 pistes-240 kms. Good for all standards: 41 green/ 28 blue/ 27 red and 14 black. 87 lifts: 6 cable cars /10 telpher carriers/ 23 chair-lifts/ 44 ski-lifts. 700 artificial snow cannons ensure you perfect ski conditions for the entire ski season. We will be delighted to assist you with many aspects of your holiday: ski passes. Booking ski school, hire of skis and boots, and on the day, introduce you to the joy of skiing Vaujany and the 'Grandes Rouses' massif, to the best slopes and mountain restaurants.
