Alpe d’Huez is undoubtedly one of the most well-known outstanding skiing areas of France. It offers serious skiing, as well as the opportunity for family skiing on gentle slopes with total security on 250 km of slopes and 87 lifts. 860 snow cannons ensure you perfect ski conditions for the entire ski season.
For the expert, the skiing here offers a new challenge. The ‘’Sarenne’’ is the longest black run in Europe ( almost 18 kms ) and is notable for its wild, totally unspoiled terrain and outstanding views. Or set off from 3330m on a black and then red runs through the fir trees all the way down to 1100m, without taking off your skis.

Vaujany also has everything you need for a great summerholiday. Enjoy this wonderful mountain resort, ski, walk and cycle in the mountains, eat traditional dishes or throw yourself off a mountain 'en parapente'.
And if you like cycling don’t forget the Tour de France, Alpe d’Huez is a major part of it - or make your own “Tour” by cycling the Glandon, Croix de Fer, Sarenne, Ornon, Galibier and Alpe d’Huez!!
In summer, you can go mountain climbing with experienced guides, fish in the lakes and mountain streams and hang-glide. There are tennis courts for free in Vaujany.

At the end of the day an afternoon tea or aperitif with ''tapas'' is waiting for you in front of the fireplace or in summer in the lovely garden.
An excellent culinary 4-course dinner will end another beautiful day.
Surprise yourself with our delicious dinner, carefully selected with fresh produce of the season, herbs from our own garden, home made chutney and the cheeses of our region.
Of course you can accompany these dishes with excellent wines, which are found on our wine card, we gladly advice you.
After dinner you can enjoy coffee or tea with home made liqueurs made with fruits of our garden or the local Genepi.

The ''Grandes Rousses'' massif covers 8 communes, 250 km of slopes for 3000 hectares ski able, and is the fifth largest ski area in France.
The ''Grandes Rousses'' massif, with Alpe d'Huez as its capitol, is a genuine all-round ski resort with excellent nursery slopes, good intermediate runs, long black (difficult) trails and extremely serious off-piste.
Vital statistics are: 3330 m-1100 m pisted giving 2230 m of vertical. 117 pistes-250 kms. Good for all standards: 41 green/ 28 blue/ 27 red and 14 black. 87 lifts: 6 cable cars /10 telpher carriers/ 23 chair-lifts/ 44 ski-lifts. 700 artificial snow cannons ensure you perfect ski conditions for the entire ski season.
