Chalet Lacs D'Amour is situated in the Savoyarde Hamlet of Le Fornet, two kilometres from Val d'Isere, so combining mountain charm and tranquillity with the excitement of one of the world's top ski resorts. The chalet is divided into 4 apartments, sleeping a maximum of 20 people. The largest of the 4 apartments has 3 bedrooms on 3 levels, including fireplace, sauna and jacuzzi.

Large living/dining room with fireplace, double sofa bed and fully equipped kitchen, including bar. View onto forest. One bathroom with shower and W.C, seperate sink and additional WC. One bedroom with 2 bunkbeds and one single bed. Double bedroom, with bathtub, leads out onto the large balcony,with superb views over the mountains.

At 1,950 metres the chalet is surrounded by snow for six months in the winter, and mountain pastures with alpine flowers in the summer. The Le Fornet cable car is a few minutes walk downhill from the chalet, giving access to winter and summer skiing. In the winter you have the choice of a blue or black run back to the front door of the chalet. In the ski season a shuttle bus service runs from Le Fornet every five minutes throughout the day to Val d'Isere. You can also take Le Fornet cable car and gondolas up on to the Le Fornet runs and then catch a chair lift over on to the other slopes in the area.

Good accomodation next to the slope

We have just spent one week at the top floor of Chalet Lacs D'Amour. The apartment is spacious, nicely styled and has all the amendments one need for a week of skiing in Val d' Isere. The kitchen is well equipped and we didn’t really miss anything. With the free shuttle bus it is only 5 min. ride down the valley to the city center, and it is only a 200 meter walk to the nearest lift up into the ski area. It is possible to ski back to the front door via a black slope.

The main bathroom is somewhat small, and there are no facilities for drying ski boots down stairs. However the two terraces makes it possible to enjoy the sun both in the morning and after a day of skiing- The master bedroom is really nice with its own fireplace and bathtub.

The apartment is best suited for a family of 4-5 or a group of friends looking for a nice place to stay while enjoying the marvelous ski slopes of the French Alps.

We'll definitely be back the next time we are skiing in Val d' Isere
