The village

Peisey is a traditional mountain village, with restaurants, pubs, small supermarket, bakery, butcher and ski shop. A excellent and outstanding holiday experience, combining great skiing in a major ski area combined with the high living quality of a charming mountain village, with its old farm houses, its baroque church and its narrow village paths. Cross country center at the border of the Vanoise National Parc in Peisey-Nancroix (free shuttle bus). The next town is Bourg St. Maurice (11 km), where you find great shopping facilities.

Olympic ski area

with your ParadiSki ski pass 6 days or longer, you can ski one day without any extra charge in the famous ski area of Val d'Isère / Tignes, known as 'Espace Killy'.

Lift pass discount, ski hire and ski school

Guests of Alpenchalets get 10 EUR OFF on public ski pass rates (6 days and more) for Les Arcs or ParadiSki, as well as special reduced rates on ski rental (20% OFF, at our partner shop INTERSPORT). In the ski school of Champagny you can find English speaking instructors.

Skiing Information:

Peisey is part of the huge ParadiSki area (Les Arcs and La Plagne) with 425 km of alpine slopes, 175 ski lifts, up to 3.250 m with glacier skiing; ski area open from early December to end of April. The major ski areas Les Arcs and La Plagne created a new common area called 'Paradiski'. They are now linked by a modern cable car on 2 floors, starting in Peisey-Valandry. So Peisey is the best place to explore ParadiSki, as it is situated right in the heart of this enormous ski area. Efficient and comfortable high speed chairlifts with 6 or 8 places make it very easy to get from one ski mountain to the next one, even for not very experienced skiers. From the chalet 'Balcon du Paradis, Les Arcs is only two ski lifts away. In the sector of Peisey you find specially equipped areas for beginners and children. ‘Fun’ area for kids. Kindergarden from 1 year on. Off-slope ski run to get back the chalet (no official slope; on your own risk or with ski instructor)
