Les Contamines holiday chalet

Winter season: The Les Contamines ski area offers snow-sure pistes from mid December to the end of April and has a ski school with English-speaking instructors. Most of the skiing is above 1800km. The ski area has 120km of uncrowded pistes with 31 ski lifts, 44 pistes, including 3 nursery slopes in the village. Les Contamines has very good off-piste for the more adventurous skier. It also has 29km of cross-country skiing and there are 8 mountain restaurants. The Chamonix ski domain is 30 minutes away including Les Grands Montets at Argentiere. We have a local chalet manager who, for a small fee, is able to arrange the booking and hire of ski equipment , ski lessons and purchase of lift passes to enable the quickest possible access to the slopes upon your arrival.

Summer season: There are many alpine recreational activities to be enjoyed in Les Contamines, especially the Parc des loisirs which is situated in the town itself. Here you can enjoy rock climbing, archery, crazy golf, swimming in the lake, which also has a small beach area, horse riding, paragliding, tennis, pedal boats and fun jumping! There is an excellent assault course involving rope climbing, swinging through the trees and speeding down the aerial runways across the lake! Suitable for all ages. From here you can take the cable car to another lake where children can happily swim and is conveniently situated next to an excellent restaurant. In the neighbouring town of St Gervais you can take the world famous Mont Blanc tram ,or there is a fantastic open air swimming pool where you can enjoy your own picnic or sample the simple menu in the cafe. In Megeve there is an indoor swimming pool and ice rink and in Chamonix a superb downhill luge. Enjoyed by all from age 2-62!

Our chalet manager, as well as organising ski passes, lessons and ski hire, can also arrange ski guides and access to the famous Vallee Blanche in Chamonix. Or if you require babysitting or nanny services, this too could be arranged. She can even supply a home cooked meal ready for you to pop in the oven after a hard day's skiing.
