Located in an attractive woodland setting above the centre of the village, it is only a short walk down to the great local shop for fresh bread and groceries in the morning - the Chamonix bus also stops here and connects you to all the resorts in the valley. The owners have lovingly created their dream chalet using old recycled and re-claimed wood, reminiscent of sun bleached driftwood - interesting and original pieces that give the chalet its quirky character. Their artistic use of materials and choice of furnishings creates a unique atmosphere - warm cosy rooms and unusual living spaces. Crisp cotton linen and simply painted plasterwork blend in beautifully to create a sophisticated, tasteful country interior. Notes to the rental rates

• ADULT PRICES quoted above - We give GENEROUS CHILD DISCOUNTS. To calculate PLEASE DEDUCT £100 for children under 14yrs and £200 for children under 8yrs in beds, except all Jan 2008 dates where under 8yrs in beds are £195. We make a £75 charge for infants in cots sharing parents room; includes, cot, high chair & meals. Bedding, bed linen, towels & cleaning included in the rental price.
  
• Our High Quality Catered Service Includes: 7 x breakfasts 6 x afternoon tea and homemade cakes; 6 x 4 course dinners including, starter, main course, good wine; cheese board & coffee. (Chefs have 1 night off). On CHRISTMAS DAY & NEW YEAR'S EVE we provide a delicious 7 course FEAST.
  
• SPRING, SUMMER & AUTUMN PRICES QUOTED from 21st APRIL - 7th DECEMBER are self catering weekly rental prices. Catering is optional for those dates, please enquire if you would like this. PRICES would be + £195 per adult, + £135 per child under 14yrs and + £95 per child under 8yrs in beds. Infants in cots, nominal £25.

Les Houches Village

With its spectacular backdrop of soaring peaks and sweeping glaciers, Les Houches combines the charm of a traditional alpine village with the splendour of high mountain scenery. There are some excellent restaurants and a few good bars in the village, but if you want serious nightlife you need to step out in Chamonix - stop by the Jekyll, a real old Irish pub with excellent food and music, the Wild Wallabies for something a bit wild and the ‘Garage’ for late night dancing until 4am.

Skiing & Boarding at Les Houches

Les Houches has one of the most varied ski areas in the Chamonix Valley particularly suitable for beginners and intermediates. Enjoy stunning views of Mt. Blanc from the beautiful long woodland trails that wind their way down to the village. As well as being an excellent resort in its own right, the central location of Les Houches, in relation to the other Mont Blanc resorts, makes it an ideal base for adventurous skiers and boarders wishing to explore the whole Valley.

Skiing & Boarding in the Chamonix Valley

Covering 14 resorts and 700kms pistes, the Mont Blanc Skipass opens up an unrivalled choice of skiing, including some of the longest and steepest runs in Europe. In the spring the valley provides simply the best off piste in the Alps, including the world famous 26km 'Vallée Blanche'. From the ‘Grands Montets’ (3300m) there are loads of off piste options and challenging black runs off the glaciers. You can also ski down into Switzerland from Le Tour and the pass covers you for a day out at Courmayeur in Italy.
